CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background
Nowadays, In this global age, there are so many problems that happened in the world. Started from the small one until the really big problem that may can cause damage to the earth. Maybe from civilians problems until the worlds. That problem maybe all because of humans fault. Because of its emotion, will, and other reason. Instead of talking about the worlds problems that there are so many, we choose to talk about the Illegal Logging, one of the serious problem of our nation, and others.

1.2 Directions
The purpose of making this writing are : 1) To give to the teacher as an writing assignment 2) To explain to the readers about the Illegal logging 3) To describe about the dangers of illegal logging 4) To invite people to taking care of the nature and prevent illegal logging

CHAPTER II CONTENTS

2.1 About Illegal Logging

In our country Indonesia, illegal logging must not be a new thing. Illegal logging is very popular in Indonesia since many years ago. This action is most did by the person who too wanted money for his own. So even the forest thats prohibited to cut down by the government, they cut it down, even clear all the forest all just to make money for them by selling the woods of the forest. This kind of action is really make many financial lost for the nation, also its just the same as destroying the nature which we live in. The illegal logging can make the animals who live in the forest suffer because their habitat have been destroyed by those who cut the forests down. Besides it, another consequence of illegal logging is flood. Our environment can be flooded because the forests cant hold the rainwater. Because the forest can hold the rainwater. This illegal logging action is such unforgivable. This can cause many living creatures to suffer because of the clear forest.

2.2 The Cause of Illegal Logging

The illegal logging that in other words can be described as cutting down the woods is really destructive. With only this action, can make the nature broke, also the living creatures who lives in the forest can be suffer. This destructive action also have some causes such as : 1) The people who did this maybe wanted to make some

money from cutting down the forest and sell it. 2) The people wanted to build a building but instead of

buy the wood, he/she cut down the woods and take the woods as the material of his/her building 3) The people wanted to build some building in the forest

site, so he/she clear the forest to make an open site for his/her building. 4) Etc.

2.3

The Consequence of Illegal Logging

The illegal logging beside have some causes, its also have some consequences that give loss to other people include living creatures such as animals, and there are consequences to the people who have done the illegal logging.

a. To other people and living creatures 1. Make the animals lose their habitat because of the forest have been cleared.

2. Can cause flood to the environment because the forest have been cleared. The forest commonly can hold the overload rainwater to the ground by absorb it by the plants root. But because its cut down, the root cant absorb the rainwater anymore so the overload water spread and cause flood to the environment. 3. Maybe can cause erosion and landslide that can cause many victims.

b. To the people who did the illegal logging 1. They can be imprisoned for years
2. They can get a fine from the government because they

ruin the nature.

How To Solve The Problem

Besides have the causes and consequences, there are also the way to solve the problem, by law or by planting some plants. Here are some way to solve this problem : 1. Capture and give a proper penalization to the perpetrator 2. Prevent the illegal logging by cover the forest 3. Restore the forest by plant it with some plants 4. Restore the forest by reforestation

CHAPTER III CLOSINGS

3.1

Conclusion

The illegal logging is a serious problem that happened in our world, and also our nation, Indonesia. This problem is really dangerous because it be done by an unresponsible people who only think about his/herself. Besides that, this is happened when there are some people who only thinks about him/herself or money and business. This illegal logging isnt dangerous because of that, but this action can make many people and other living creatures suffer because of lost its habitat and also because of flood, erosion and landslide for humans. But this can be solved by capture the perpetrator and give him/her a proper penalization or imprison him/her. Besides that, we also can reforest the forest so the forest that cleared will be a beautiful forest again.

Suggestion

From our heart, we suggest to the Indonesian Government to judge all of the perpetrator of the illegal logging that cause problems to Indonesia fairly as their lawbreaking.
