the center for the visual arts

The Center for the Visual Arts is an independent non-profit organization located in the heart of the arts district in downtown Wausau, Wisconsin. The CVA offers classes for all ages in a wide range of techniques; it presents juried and invitational fine art exhibits in the Galleries on the 400 Block; and it maintains a gift shop that features the work of over 200 artists. For 21 years, the CVAs signature exhibit, Midwest Winter, showcased entries from American and occasionally international artists. To broaden the exhibits appeal to both artists and audiences, it was recast as Midwest Seasons for the 2009 show.
