THIS WILL HELP YOU ARRANGE ALL THE DOCUMENTS.

*To ensure a hassle-free joining at TCS, you are requested to ensure the following things-

1.You should have completed the first phase of National Skills Registry (NSR) registration

2.You should bring along the completed service agreement forms (page 6-11 of annexure)

3.You should bring along the completed no criminal offense forms (page 12-13 of annexure)

4.You should bring along the completed medical certificate forms (page 14-15 of annexure)

5.You should bring along the Completed "Background Check (BGC)" forms (page 16-22 of annexure)

Besides all these,u should bring along some general documents.

So for annexure there are 5 parts mentioned above . now we will talk about the particulars for each part which you need to carry along wd you.

PART 1>SERVICE AGREEMENT (SA)::

Page 6=fill and sign(both by you and surety) it in the appropriate places in 100rs stamp paper..no xtra documents needed

Page 7,8,9,10= fill and sign(both by you and surety) in the appropriate places..no xtra documents needed

page 11=get it filled by surety and the gazetted officer who will verify suretys signature and will also attest the same page

Documents needed for SURETY/Documents for FD/Documents for Land Deed or Land Passbook::

1. Surety verification form (attested by Gazetted officer.)

2. Suretys Pancard (2 photocopies attested by Gazetted officer)

3. Suretys proof income (photocopy attested by Gazetted officer , also carry the original one wd you) : Any one of the following are eligible Photocopy of latest IT Returns/Saral /Form 2D/ Form 16/ Form 12B (Assessment year 20102011 or 2011-2012) Attested by Gazetted officer

Or

If your surety is an agriculturalist then following income proof has to submitted

1.Photocopy of the Land Deed or Land Passbook (Attested By Gazetted officer)

2.Recent valuation certificate of the property (in English only) from the Competent Authority duly signed and sealed. The present market estimate of the property should not be less than INR.50,000.

Or

Original Fixed deposit receipt of INR 50,000 in your name and has to marked either lien/joint account/assigned to TCS LTD for 2 yrs period. if u dont leave tcs wdin 2 yrs,u will get bck d 50k amount wd interest

N.B:: NO NEED to notarise service agreement pages

PART 2>NO CRIMINAL OFFENSE (NCO):

Page 12= fill it in 100rs stamp paper

Page 13=fill it by ur witnesses who can vouch for you anytime if you are under any criminal enquiries. Witnesses can be anyone

no documents needed for this part..only get it notarized(both the pages 12 and 13)..make it sure that notary-seal, sign and attestation are duly present in the pages

PART 3 > MEDICAL CERTIFICATE(MC)::

Page 14=affix a passport size photo of uand get it attested by the doctor and fill the page ..no other documents needed

Page 15=make sure doctors registration-id , seal and sign are present

No xtra documents needed for this part

PART 4>BACKGROUND CHECK(BGC)::

Page 16=tick d boxes correctly,address proof needed

Page 17=tick d boxes,id proof needed

Page 18=affix a passport size photo and fill the page properly,attach address proofs

Page 19= fill it and attach passport details and proof(if you have passport,othrws leave it blank)

Page 20=fill it properly and sign it

Page 21=fill and sign

Page 22=leave it blank..it is for office use only

Now documents list for BGC form

1.Completed Background Check form (hard copy of BGC Form).

2.Self-attested copy of ID proof One of these: PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voters ID card, College ID Card duly attested by HOD.

3.Self-attested copy of address proof One of these: Passport, Ration card, Electricity Bill, Landline Telephone Bill, House Lease Agreement.

4.Self-attested and signed documents to explain break (if any) in education - (i) or (ii) or (iii):

(i) Medical records, if the break was due to medical reasons. (ii) Certificates / Examination results, if the break was due to additional course done. (iii) Affidavit on a Rs. 20 stamp paper with notary authorization, if the break was due to other personal reasons.

5.In case your residential address(present/permanent) is Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane City, Thane Rural or, Pune you need to submit Self-attested Criminal Investigation Division (CID) forms for the respective region+supporting documents mentioned within each form. This is in addition to the BGC form.

PART 5>GENERAL PARTICULARS(GP)::

1. All Mark sheets of Class 10th & 12th Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

2. Mark sheets for all semesters of Degree/PG/DIPLOMA Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

3. Degree Certificate /Provisional Certificate Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

4. Birth Certificate - Original and one copy attested by gazetted officer OR If birth certificate is not available or if it is in local language, Birth Affidavit in English on a Rs. 20 stamp paper Original

5. Passport Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

6. Pancard Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

7. TCS Offer Letter- Self attested

8. Joining letter - Self attested

9. Relieving letter (if you have previous work experience) Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer

10.passport size photos

11.this is my personal suggestion-carry voter id card,driving license.ration card,class 10th admit card,xtra photocopies of all the documents,details of the person you would choose for gratuity, pf etc FRM TCS ILP GUIDE grp :)

you must be in a hurry to get d required documents in a right way and a bit nervos regarding the same... so this is my attempt to ease the pain off your shoulders.. firstly i thank my friend SHAKEER SHAIK, who helped me alot during this process.

before you start reading this bear in mind 2 things..


all the document collection work will take you only 3 days. and you will be given some time to get d documents in d required form(if any mistakes) by TCS.

now let me explain you everything in a open banana put in mouth manner... there are 3 sets of documents SET-1: SERVICE AGREMEENT, SURETY, MEDICAL CERTIFICATE. SET-2: ACADEMIC, NON-CRIMINAL AFFIDAVIT. SET-3: BACKGROUND CHEK, CID FORM'S.

To ensure hassle free documentation work follow the steps as under.. before that you are expected to have knowledge on the annexure you are given

SET-1: SERVICE AGREEMENT

1. Go to the concerned authorized shop and get a 100rupee stamp paper on your name. 2. Get a rough set of prints to chek the alignement and any other modifications(requred to get confidence and self-cheking) 3. Get the document printed without any modifications.. On the bond paper get the matter of the 1st page as stated with proper alignment.. and let the rest of the matter printed on the consecutive sheets and attach them along with bond paper. 4. Now carefully fill in the blacks as required and sign on the bottom of all pages(you may try a demo on the rough set of prints taken and get it evaluated by an expirenced person for added confidence) So now you got your service agreement ready

Following are the general doubts i noticed

1. Should i get it notaried?

Ans: Should not be notraied. Because you will be giving the service agreement on the date which is your date of joining.. it means you have made the agreement on that date.. and if u get it notarised even a day earlier.. the notarys sign with date causes discrepency. 1. Is it a problem if i got it notarised already? Ans: a notary is a means of authenticating your signature. It is a way of telling that this signature is correct and is signed before me. So notary is a seal of trust..hence even if you get it notarised, on the general basis of evaluation TCS considers it as a mark of autheticated signature and still accept your service agreement.

SET-1: SURETY 1. On the surety verification sheet fill in the details in a proper way and attach proper proofs of the surety(proofs which may be submitted are given in the annexure) 2. Get the verification sheet attested by the concerned authorites(autorities concerned are stated in annexure)

Who can be the surety and further details of the proofs and all were clearly furnished in the annexure.

SET-1: MEDICAL CERTIFICATE 1. This is a form which will cover all the possible diseases in the medical dictonary which most of you wont be having.. and few of you might havent even heard of.. so just go to a doctor who has a min qualification of M.B.B.S and get it filled. 2. Complete all personal details and get it SIGNED AND STAMPED by the doctor on thePHOTOGRAPH and LAST PAGE.

SET-2: NON-CRIMANAL AFFIDAVIT

1. In the annexure you can find a side heading Affidavit/Notarized Undertaking(refer page no __ & __). So go to the so and so pages and get that matter carefully printed on the 100 rupee stamp paper. 2. For the mark of clarity i have take the lines Whereas I, ., an adult Indian Inhabitant, residing at.., have been selected by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (TCS), (blah.. blah.. blah..! till the end of 2nd para which reads) undertaking as part of Background Check Process, which I hereby do: on the bond paper and continued the rest 6 points on a new consecutive sheet and the next page on another consecutive sheet. 3. You may try this on plain papers for alignment cheking and demo filling process. 4. You should get it NOTARISED.

SET-2: OTHER SET OF DOCUMENTS YOU HAVE TO GET READY 1. TCS Offer Letter and offer acceptance- Self attested(nothing big than just signing it) 2. Joining letter - Self attested. 3. All Mark statements of Class 10th & 12th Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer. 4. Mark statements for all semesters of Degree/PG Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer 5. Consolidated mark statement of Degree Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer 6. Degree Certificate /Provisional Certificate Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer 7. Relieving letter(if you have previous work experience) Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer 8. Passport Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer 9. Pancard Original and 2 copies attested by Gazetted officer. 1. Birth Certificate - Original and one copy attested by gazetted officer OR If birth certificate is not available or if it is in local language, Birth Affidavit in English on a Rs. 20 stamp paper Original

SET-3: BACKGROUND CHECK FORM

1. Carefully fill in the details of the form and sign at appropriate places. 2. Attach a photograph and also your ADDRESS AND ID PROOFs duly attested, along with it. 3. Self-attested copy of ID proof One of these: PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voters ID card, College ID Card duly attested by HOD. 4. Self-attested copy of address proof One of these: Passport, Ration card, Electricity Bill, Landline Telephone Bill, House Lease Agreement. 5. Self-attested and signed documents to explain break (if any) in education - (i) or (ii) or (iii):

(i) Medical records, if the break was due to medical reasons. (ii) Certificates / Examination results, if the break was due to additional course done. (iii) Affidavit on a Rs. 20 stamp paper with notary authorization, if the break was due to other personal reasons.

In case your residential address(present/permanent) is Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane City, Thane Rural or, Pune you need to submit Self-attested Criminal Investigation Division (CID) forms for the respective region+supporting documents mentioned within each form. This is in addition to the BGC form.

TCS DOCUMENTATION:

This doc may be a bit lengthy..but go through it...hope it'll clear some of ur doubts...

1.The documentation process of TCS has mainly two parts

(a) Service agreement + Surety Verification + Medical report + Non-criminal affidavit. (b)Back ground check.

(a)Service agreement +surety verification+ medical report + Non-criminal affidavit: Points to remember while preparing the SA 1.The Service agreement should not be notarized.. 2.The first page of the agreement may be either filled up by pen or it may be typed and then printed.. 3.All the other pages of the SA MUST be filled by blue/black point penotherwise ur joining may be put on hold 4.make sure that both of you and your surety have signed at the bottom of all the pages of the SA.. 5.Your suretys signature at the bottom of the pages should be identical to that of the suretys PAN card..otherwise ur joining will be put on hold.they will mainly check the signatures and the names. 6.The Surety verification Form must be attested by a gazetted officer. 7.documents to be attached with the SA and SURETY VERIFICATION are : (a)form16/IT return/form32 of ur surety attested by gazetted officer.(any ONE of these) (b)Attested copy of Suretys PAN card. (c)Attested copy of the employees PAN card.

Points to remember for medical report 1.nothing much..just verify whether ur picture has been attested by the doctor and the doctors stamp at the end of the report.. 2.check whether all the fields have been filled up or not.. For non-criminal affidavit 1.Print the portion whereas I----- To which I hereby do of the 1st page of the (i.e. page number 12 of annexeure)form on a 100 rs stamp paper.

2.Print the clauses (clause 1clause 6) on another plain sheet following the 100 rs stamp paper.Dont even dare to remove or edit any of the clauses.print as it is in the annexeure. 3. Print the other page i.e. the witness page on another plain sheet..

4.Get it notarized .dont worry about the place and date issue on the witness page .u can give either ur DOJ and place as ur corresponding ILP centers or the date and place on which ur document was notarized (we were told this in kolkata).ill rather suggest that leave the date and place field BLANK and fill them up at the time of joining as per ur ILP centers demands 5.no proof is to be attached here This is the first set of DOCSnow in the second part there will be the BGC form fill up For BGC u will need 1.passport size photographdont attest it 2.TCS applicant ID which ull find at the next step portallogin to the portal..go to ILP status..scroll down and get it..its also mentioned in ur joining letter.

WHILE FILLING UP THE FORM REMEMBER THESE THINGS. 1.The form starts from the page on which ur photo is pasted. 2.fill up the first page with ur personal details and give address with proper land mark.coz a specially organized team will conduct a verification process based on ur details given in the form within one month from ur DOJ. 3.In the permanent address field..u may give the period of stay(i.e FROM,,To) as From-birth TO-till date. 4.There is a consent letter attached to the BGC form..fill that and keep the Place and date field blank and fill those at the time of joining according to the demand of ur respective ILP center. 4.Give proper reason for ur year gap in education..just mention the year(i.e. from-2006 to2007) ..give medical reports if the gap is due to medical issues and produce results/certificates if the gap is due to any additional courses done 5.Most important is that if anyone is doing an affidavit on a rs 20 stamp paper then make sure that ur reason is stated there in a proper way..there are some formats for this affidavit given in this grpchoose any one of themu may be asked to submit an attested copy of the rank card if ur gap is due to preparation for engg entrance exams.

Now what should be given as proofs??? 1.DOB proofur berth cert/ 10th admit card/ voter ID card (self attested copy of any one of these) 2.Address proofElectricity bill/ Ration Card/ Passport (self attested copy of any on of these ) 3.Id proofPan card/ Voter ID card/ Passport (self attested copy of any one of these).

This is the documentation part..now the following documents should be carried at the day of joining. 1.10 th marksheet..(2 copies attested by gazetted officer+ original ) 2.12th mark sheet (2 copies attested by gazetted officer + original). 3.All semester mark sheets(2 copies of each attested by gazetted officer + originals ). 4.Provisional/Course completion/Consolidated certificate.(any one of these,2 copies attested by gazetted officer + original). 5.Ur original birth cert.(2 copies attested by gazetted officer + original).. I know some of u have some problems regarding the language of the birth cert..if anyone has a BILINGUAL cert in which one of the two languages is ENGLISH then it will be okother wise u have to make an affidavit in english on a stamp paper(most probably rs 20)..after all u have to have ur birth statement in english 6.Pan card (2 copies attested by the gazzeted officer + originl). 7.Passport(2 copies attested by gazette officer + original)if anyone does not have a passport or have any issues regarding the passport dont worrypassport IS NOT mandatory at the time of joiningu have to submit it within one year most probably.. 8.2 copies of joining letter, carrying ur signature at the bottom of all the pages..one will be required to open ur salary account. 9.1 copy of offer letter carrying ur signature at the bottom of all the pages.. This is all about the whole documentation processit is complex but not that tough..keep ur cool while arranging the documents and proofs..THIS IS MY PERSONAL SUGGESTION THAT KEEP ONE BLANK COPY OF THE BGC FORM TO YOURSELVES COZ IF ANYTHING WRONG HAPPENS ON THE D-DAY ULL HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE AVAILABLE..AND ONE MORE THING,,TAKE 1-2 MORE XEROX COPIES OF EACH DOCUMENTS SO THAT U DONT FACE A PROBLEM REGARDING SELFATTESTATION..AND LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST,,IF U HAVE ANY DOUBT

ANYWHERE,, LEAVE IT BLANK (EXCEPT SIGNATURE FIELDS),,ASK UR ILP COORDINATOR ON UR JOINING DATE AND THEN FILL UP.. HAVE A SMOOTH AND HASSLE FREE JOININGWISH U ALL THE VERY BEST FOR A GREAT CAREER IN FUTURE.
