Supervise connection and upload to remote servers comprising of Central Oracle 8i Database Server and Newgen proprietary SMS Image Server based on Java Technology Conduct performance review of the team and report to the senior management. Project Overview: Newgen has implemented a DMS based scanning and back office management software solution for Reliance India Mobile. Reliance Infocomm launched its wireless local loop mobile services all over India with its lucrative cost schemes. Newgen software technologies, Indias most competent imaging and document management company, was involved in the maintenance of digitized image of all the customer application forms and

supporting document received from all point of sales (POS) in India, finally converged at the warehouse site in DAKC, Mumbai. The customer application forms (Received in boxes and folders) were scanned (using high speed scanners and Image based OmniCapture scanning utility) and indexed on some association information automatically. Finally the soft images were uploaded onto a centralized image server and the data pertaining to the images were stored in Oracle 8i Database Server together with image Document Identifier. The operation consists of three departments viz. Stores, Scanning, QA and Upload with a process flow model in which the output of one department becomes the input for another in the chain. None of the process is manual and our operators and supervisors conducted most of the activities from the Desktop interconnected PCs for which the back-office process software has been implemented by our team. Our Image Server contains more than 3 Terabytes of customer data in digital, compressed and encrypted format (tiff) with state of the art Java based technology support. Our Oracle 8i Application Database Server has more than 12 GB data. We as supervisors are also required to keep vigil on these servers and report any anomaly to the DMS development team at New Delhi. Regular Oracle backup is also an activity we have been entrusted with. Technical Experience: Database Maintenance and Administration: I have been actively involved in database backup, maintenance and administration at our CP Warehouse location. I took regular backup of the Omnidocs Oracle Database till the servers were handed over to Reliance staff at IDC. Even after that, for safety purpose, on our seniors instruction we keep taking regular backups. We have a local CAFMS process software database, which is used for production process and MIS reports. I have been trained to query on the MS SQL database and generate data as required by our management. Omnidocs Support: Until the Omnidocs servers were officially handed over to Reliance team at IDC, I was actively involved in providing technical support being a part of the Upload team. We got a formal training regarding general and advanced troubleshooting mechanism for Omnidocs JTS and SMS servers from the Newgen development team, which worked onsite in Mumbai for one year. I provided technical support under their supervision for a month and gained confidence to handle and resolve queries independently in most of the cases unless some system bug was reported. We were also trained in client communication and handling crisis situation, which is quite frequent over here in Reliance given the database size of more than 12 GB and Image running into Terabytes.
