Celebrating AGRO+MASHEXPO over the jubilee

The most significant agricultural machinery exhibition of the region was organized the 25th time by HUNGEXPO Zrt. last year, but we have good reasons to celebrate this year as well. The AGRO+MASHEXPO sets a new record for occupied exhibition space, filling three pavilions with various exhibitors. The agricultural machinery exhibition and the first Hungarian Garden and Viticulture & Winery accompanying exhibitions organized by HUNGEXPO transform the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Centre into the main market forum of Hungarian agriculture for the duration of four days. The agricultural product demonstrations occupy more than 20,000 square meters of floor space and feature 225 exhibitors. Pavilions A, D and for the first time Pavilion C will be packed with machinery presented at AGRO+MASH: 160 exhibitors from 11 countries will occupy 18,500 square meters. In Pavilion F 1,600 square meters are allocated for the 42 exhibitors of the Hungarian Garden, and the 23 exhibitors of the Viticulture & Vinery exhibition. These are the main exhibitions accompanying events, organized for the first time this year. Trends and plans According to the organizers the task of the professional exhibitions is among others to show the commercial trends and wide range of professional innovations in 2008, and to provide a communication environment promoting networking and making business. The EU funding available for agricultural machine investments and developments give good reason for farmers to make plans and actual machinery purchases. The AGRO+MASHEXPO exhibition grew to over 18 thousand square meters from the 15,5 thousand square meters of floor space in 2007, and this growth is a good indicator of the exhibitions significant role in the Hungarian agricultural market. There is a lot to do The moving of the exhibition from the open air exhibition areas into the pavilions is a clear sign of success, as this allows for making purchases and for collecting information before the start of the agricultural season in the spring. Special offers from the biggest Hungarian distributors and foreign companies, and the products and services offered by numerous small- and middle-sized enterprises contribute to the wide variety of opportunities offered. Among foreign countries Spain will have a separate national booth. Exhibition grand prize This years AGRO+MASHEXPO product competition prize was closed successfully. The grand prize is a prestigious award for the players in the agricultural machinery market. The prizes were awarded by the professional jury organized by the Agricultural Automation Institute of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Three grand prizes and one special prize were awarded this year.

Travel discount The exhibitions of the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Centre are open every day from 9:00 to 17:00 on the first three days, between 23 and 25 January, the opening

hours are from 9:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, the last day of the event. The price of the day ticket is HUF 1,100; the price of the discount ticket is HUF 800, while the price of the discount ticket for school groups of more than 10 students is HUF 400 per person. The visitors of the exhibitions are entitled for a 50% return ticket discount for the domestic Hungarian lines of Volnbusz Zrt. Holiday checks can also be used for purchasing tickets at the ticket desk of Building K. Ministerial opening The exhibitions will be opened by JZSEF GRF, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development on 23 January 2008 at 13:30 in Pavilion A of the HUNGEXPO Budapest Fair Centre.
