Known issues

Here is a list of known issues that we were aware of at production time. To view an updated list of issues associated with this release, see KB72851.

Compatibility issues
Issue Windows Security Center/Windows Action Center integration does not work on Windows 2008 R2. (Reference: 702321) Workaround There is no known workaround.

Alert issues
Issue If policy is set to show threat events in a pop-up, the message pop-up appears under the active window. (Reference: 698973) Workaround There is no known workaround.

Permission issues
Issue The default permission set for Global Reviewer provides no McAfee MOVE Antivirus permissions. (Reference: 703028) Workaround An ePolicy Orchestrator administrator must edit the default Global Reviewer permission set for MOVE-AV 2.0 Policy Permission and add View permissions.

Policy issues
Issue Checking in the McAfee MOVE Antivirus ePolicy Orchestrator extension does not create a My Default policy. (Reference: 692011) Workaround Duplicate the McAfee Default policy to create an editable version.

Quarantine issues
Issue Quarantine restore fails for all detections if access is denied for one of them. (Reference: 702557) Workaround The best workaround is to look at the detailed log file to determine which specific folder denied access and change the permissions on that folder before attempting to restore. An alternate workaround is to move all .VIR files to another location, then move them back to the quarantine folder in small batches for restoration. See KB72876 for more information.
