treating the injured and caring for them and staying awake at night in order
to ensure that they were comfortable, seeking thereby Allah’s pleasure and
His great reward.

The Messenger of Allah wanted to marry her, in order to reward her for the
sacrifices she had made in Allah’s cause, so he proposed marriage to her and
she accepted, placing her affairs in his hands and he married her in the

Lubaba al-Kubra bint al-Harith (‫)لبابة بنت الحارث‬, also known as "Umm Fadl"
She is the mother of Abd-Allah ibn Abbas, and Fadl ibn Abbas , wife of
Abbas ibn Abd-Al-Muttalib the uncle of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH)
----- 2nd woman bcome muslim
----- bestfriend of khadija

1--Umm Fadl(Lubaba) claimed to be the second woman to convert to Islam,

the same day as her close friend Khadijah. Officially, 'Abbas accepted Islam
just before the fall of Makkah 20 years later
Umm al-Fadl was one of the earliest Companions of the Prophet. Once Abu
Lahab, the enemy of Allah and the Messenger of Allah, entered the house of
his brother, al-Abbas, and proceeded to attack Abbas client, Abu Rafi,
because he had embraced Islam. Abu Lahab knocked him to the ground and
knelt on him, continuing to beat him. Umm al Fadl grabbed a post that was
there and cracked it across Abu Lahab's head, saying, "Will you victimize
him because his master is absent?" He treated in shame and died a week
later.

another full sister her name is Izza

maymunah--- offered herself to the prophet

Her marriage before Prophet Muhammad:

She was first married to Abu Rahim bin Abdul Uzza. He was a non muslim,
but he died when she was still a young woman of 26 years.
According to some reports, she was married twice before she became Ummul
Mominin. (Some said she was married to Masud ibn Amr athThaqafi before
islam, they separated later.)

Her Marriage to Prophet Muhammad

After her husband died, she then placed her affair in the hands of Umm Al-
Fadl, Lubabah al-Kubra who placed it in the hands of her husband ,al-Abbas.
She declared publicly that she embraced islam. And Maimunah wanted to be
one of the wives of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH), so she went to her sister,
Umm al Fadl to talk to her about that and she, in returm, spoke to her
husband, al-Abbas. Al-Abbas immediately went to the Prophet (PBUH) with
Maimunah's offer of to marry him and her proposal was accepted.

When the Messenger of Allah intended to go to Makkah to perform Umrah

,he sent Aws bin Al-Khawli and Abu Rafi to Al-Abbas asking for her hand in
marriag, who informed her of the matter and she accepted, barely able to
contin her happiness.
When she received this great news she was on a camel. She immediately got
off the camel and said: "The camel and what is on it is for the Messenger of
Allah (PBUH)."

They got married in the month of Shawwal in 7 AH, when the Prophet was 60
years old and she was 36 years old, just after the Muslims of Medina were
permitted to visit Mecca under the terms of the treaty of Hudaybiyya to
perform umra. Allah Almighty sent the following ayat about this:
“Any believing woman who dedicates herself to the Prophet if the Prophet
wishes to wed her, that is only for thee and not for the believers”. (Quran
33:50)
After Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) completed his Umrah rites, he went to Al-
Abbas and the marriage contract was completed ,al-Abbab presenting a
dowry of 400 hundred dirhams to her on behalf of the Messenger of Alah.
When the Messenger of Allah made the contract of marriage to her , he had
already spent 3 days in Makkah and according to the agreement made at al-
Hudaibiyyah, it was stipulated that the Messenger of Allah would return to
Al-Madina without performing Umrah that year, but that he would return
the following year to perform it, and he would remain in Makkah for 3 days.
So After 3 days, Quraish sent a message to the Messenger of Allah,
reminding him that he had completed the 3 days upon which they had agreed
and that it was now incumbent upon him to depart from Makkah. Upon he
Upon hearing this message, the Messenger of Allah said” What would it
matter to you if u left me to marry while I am among you and we would
prepare food for you and you would attend the celebration?”
But they said” We are not in need of your food, now depart from us.” So the
Messenger of Allah departed without having consummated his marriage to
Maymuna, however he left his slave, Abu Rafi behind so that he might bring
her to him, after she had prepared herself and he brought her to Sarif ( a
place which les some miles distant from Makkah )

He married her at Saraf, a place lying on his journey to Mecca for 'Umrah in
Zul Qa'dah 7 A.H. He had intended to start living with her when in Mecca
after performing 'Umrah but, as Qureysh did not allow him to enter Mecca,
he called her over to him in the same place on his return journey.
The relevant clause reads, literally, "if she offered herself as a gift (in
wahabat nafsaha) to [Muhammad]." Most of the classical commentators take
this to mean "without demanding or expecting a dowery (mahr)", which, as
far as ordinary Muslims are concerned, is an essential item in a marriage
agreement.

About her
1-Her piety

When She had reached adulthood before the migration of the Prophet
(pbuh) to Al-Madinah. Her pure soul was inclined towards Islam from her
earliest years.
This inclination was increased by her nearness to her sister, Lubabah- the
first woman to believe after Khadijah, but she was unable to openly announce
her conversion to Islam while she live in a house of disbelief.
As one of the mother of the believers, she is considered to be an excellent
example and role model, exemplifying true faith. She was known for her
piety ,purity, devotion (to worship), humbleness and her abstemiousness.

The Prophet observed her earnestness and sincerity in worship and he

testified to the faith of her and her sisters, saying “ The sisters are
believers; Maymuna, Umm Al-Fadl and Asma.”
tasneem: NO SIS
2- She devoted her time to prayer and fasting

She devoted most of her time to her Lord, praying ,standing in prayer at
night and fasting.

Yazid bin Asam (R.A) says: “She was seen either engaged in Salaat or in
domestic work. When she was doing neither, she was busy in Miswak.
3-GENEROSITY AND GOOD NATURED3- Her generosity and good nature

She was known for her great generosity and her love and devotion to Allah.

36/60AGE WHEN MARRIED

She was obviously very good natured and got on well with everyone, and no
quarrel or disagreement with any of the Prophet's other wives have been
related about her.
It was in her room that Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) first began to feel the
effects of what became his final illness and asked the permission of his
wives to stay in A'isha's room while it lasted

4- She is truthful

She devoted her whole life to the worship of Allah, and whenever she saw
anything wrong she used to changed it with her own hands.
5- She is kind to her kith and kin

Aishah (R.A) says: “Maimoonah was the most pious, and the most mindful of
her kith and kin, among the Prophet Mohammad's (pbuh) wives.” Reported by
Al-Hakim
4/32

6- She spent for the sake of Allah

When confirms her love of spending in Allah’s cause is the narration which
states that the Messenger of Allah ask her about a slave-girl belonging to
him and she said” I manumitted her” he said” She was steadfast and
persevering; if you had kept her with you ,it would have been better.”

7- She Practice the Sunnah of the Prophet

She was zealous in following the sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) due to which,
whenever she was free from her housework or her devotions, she would
occupy it by using the Miswak ( a stick from the root of the Arak tree,
which is used as a tooth brush).

Yazeed bin al-Asamm spoke of this, saying” The Miswak of Maymuna, was
soaked in water, so if her work or prayer kept her occupied (she would leave
it there), but if not , she would take it and brush her teeth with it.”

8- Her fear of Allah

She always kept in mind the fact that Allah was watching her in all her
deeds- both big and small; on one occasion, she espied a pomegranate seed on
the ground and she picked it up and said” Verily, Allah likes not corruption.”
9- She is one of the narrators of Hadith

She is consided to be one of the narrators of hadith, for she narrated 46

traditions from the Messenger of Allah and her narrations are to be found
in the books of authentic Ahadeeth and in the Sunnah.
There is no doubt that her ahadeeth demonstrated a great number of
islamice rulings, because she lived in the Prophet household. Among these
ahadeeth are:

a) “He (the Messenger of Allah) used to pray on a khumrah (a mat made from
date-palm leaves).” (Reported by Muslim and Ahmad)

b) “The Prophet (pbuh) was praying while I was sleeping at his side, then
when he prostrated, his garment touched me and I was in my menstrual
period.” (Reported by al-Bukhari)

c) “I and the Messenger of Allah became Junub (a state of ritual impurity

following intimate relation, nocturnal emission et.) And I washed from a large
bowl and there was a surplus of water, then the Prophet (pbuh) came and
washed from it and I said” I have already washed with it.” But he replied”
There is no impurity on it (or he said: “nothing will defile it.”), then he
washed himself with it.” (Reported by Ahmad)

About Ibn Abbas Visit

It is also related by Ibn Abbas that he once stayed the night as a guest of
Maymuna, who was his aunt, and the Prophet, (peace and blessings of Allah
be upon him) They slept on their blanket lengthways and he slept at the end,
crossways. After they had all slept for awhile, the Prophet rose in the
middle of the night to pray the tahajjud prayer, and Ibn Abbas joined him.
They both did wudu, and he prayed eleven rakats with the Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then they both went back to sleep again
until dawn. Bilal called the adhan, and the Prophet did another two short
rakats, before going into the mosque to lead the Dawn Prayer.

Ibn Abbas said that one of the dua'ahs that the Prophet made during this
night was : "O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my tongue, light in my
hearing, light on my sight, light behind me, light in front of me, light on my
right, light on my left, light above me and light below me; place light in my
sinew, in my flesh, in my blood, in my hair and in my skin; place light in my
soul and make light abundant for me; make me light and grant me light."
Her Death

After Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) died, Maimunah continued to live in Medina

for another forty years.

She asked to be buried where she had married the Prophet at Saraf and her
request was carried out.
She lived with Muhammad for only 3 years until his death. She died in 51 AH
( 673)at the age of 80. during the Caliphate of Yazeed bin Muawiyah bin Abi
Sufyan at Sarif (may Allah be pleased with her), This is a strange
coincidence that at a certain place during one Journey she is married, at the
same place on the return journey she starts living with the Prophet
Mohammad (pbuh) and at the very at the very place during another journey
she dies and is buried.
It is related that at the funeral of Maymuna, Ibn Abbas said, "This is the
wife of Allah's Messenger, (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so
when you lift her bier, do not shake her or disturb her, but be gentle."
Ibn Abbas offered the funeral prayer over her and he ,Yazeed bin Al-
Asamm and Abdullah bin Shaddad bin Al-Had – who were her nephews –
entered her grave, along with Abdullah bin Al-Khawlani, who was an orphan in
her house.
May Allah be please with her.

there are four marjor school (mazhab) of thoughts >>> SCHOOL OF

fIQH(jurispurdance)

1-Abu Hanifa ( hanafi)

2-Malik
3-Shafee
4-Ahmad ibn hambal
they are great scholors whose study are widely accepted and agreed by most
muslims
but all these four Major mazhab , their basic belief will never contridict to
Quran

but some of the hadith they explained with some difference

so that we have a bit difference in practice
like Malik prayer is a bit different then then shafee school
their rules are easier
such as
the definition of Awrah
shafee and most scholor said it was from belly buttom to knee
while Malik said it is only up to half of upper leg (above the knee)
so in summer for example
one who may wear a short upto knee length by following shaffee
but if one feel the need of cool
he can also follow Malik
by wearing a short that is above the knee
