Just as versatile as retailing is the

BEETLE POS system family from Wincor
Nixdorf.

Developed and designed for use in

retailing and the service sector, it offers
the necessary functionality and flexibility
for modern IT POS solutions. The systems
are based on standard PC technology and
combine this technology with tried-and-
tested, POS-specific features for the
benefit of users.

The BEETLE /NetPOS model has been

developed for use as a space-saving
desktop POS system or administration
terminal for server-oriented thin client
network solutions. Thanks to its scalability,
the system can also be used in client/
server applications with offline capability.
A hard disk or a flash memory card and a
floppy drive can be configured as storage
drives.

The system offers the very latest PC

technology based on the Intel processors
Celeron and Pentium III with the 815E
chipset or VIA/Cyrix Media GXm. For
connecting peripherals, there is a wide
range of standard PC and retail-specific
powered interfaces for cash drawers,
scanners, POS printers, touchscreens,
customer displays, etc. via RS232 and
USB.
BEETLE /NetPOS is the ideal system
platform for Windows 32 and Linux-based
thin client POS applications and service-
oriented front- and back-end terminals
with a graphic user interface. In
conjunction with our 12.1” or 15” active
matrix TFT touchscreen, the system is
turned into an intuitive touch POS system.
Operating staff are navigated through the
application at the touch of their finger in an
easily understandable way with the
relevant user interface. This reduces
incorrect inputs and means that new
employees can become familiarized with
the system more quickly. It therefore also
ensures reduced total cost of ownership.
