POS systems are the point of payment in the

retail and service sectors. The customer pays
for the goods or services and receives a cash
register receipt or itemized receipt as proof.
Special POS printers are used for this; they
print not only the customer receipt, but also
paper journal, checks, credit card slips, cash
balances, etc. The requirements of today’s POS
printers are diverse, for some, the receipt is a
short-term proof that they have paid for the
goods; for others it is an important document for
later warranty claims or as accounting evidence
for the local tax office.

conventional dot matrix printer to thermal and
hybrid (a combination of dot matrix and thermal
printing) printer. All these printing technologies
have their strengths. Dot matrix printing
impresses with low-cost consumables and multi-
part printing, whereas thermal printing offers
high printing speeds, long service life and
virtually noiseless printing.

Users decide what printing technology best meet

their requirements. With the exceptional of ND69
dot matrix printer, which has a built-in power
supply unit, the printers are supplied with
power from the BEETLE POS system unit. This
connection concept allows the printer to be
integrated in the BEETLE emergency power
supply concept (UPS). As a result, printing can
be completed properly in the event of a power
failure. There is a separate power supply unit
for connection to a PC.
Furthermore, all POS printers (optional for
ND210) have a cash drawer interface and a
powered RS232c interface for connecting to
the BA63 and BA66 customer displays.
To ensure integration with your application is
as simple as possible, all the printers support
the ESC/POSTM control sequences. In addition,
OPOS and JavaPOS components are also
offered.

TECHNICAL DATA

The TH200 is a high speed thermal printer with
auto-cutter. Its powerful graphics capability
makes it especially suitable for printing coupons
and gift vouchers with barcode.
The TH320 is a compact hybrid printer. The
thermal receipt station prints with high speed
and supports two-color printing, whereby
special paper is used. Beside a MICR and a
flip option, the versatile TH320 can optionally
be equipped with an Image Reader.
The TH420 is a two-station thermal hybrid
printer for printing receipts and documents. It
combines thermal printing for receipts and dot
matrix printing for documents in one housing.
The extra wide document table allows the
transport of A4 or Letter format documents.
