1. In this film (An Inconvenient Truth) there were many arguments that convinced me that global warming is caused by CO2 emissions. Here are 3 arguments:

Argument 1: solar radiation in the form of light waves passes through the atmosphere. Most of this radiation is absorbed by the earth and warms it. Some energy is radiated back into space by the earth in form of infrared waves. Some of this radiation is trapped by the earths atmosphere and warms it. CO 2 (pollution) thickens the earths atmosphere so more of the outgoing infrared is trapped.

Argument 2: each year the CO2 level changes by getting higher in level. From 1958 till 2005 the level of CO2 keeps going higher. The higher the level of CO2 gets the warmer the earth will be. The impact of the result in the real world is shown in Mountain Kilimanjaro, glaciers keep on retreating year by year. Everyday small pieces of glaciers keep falling apart.

Argument 3: as the water temperature increases, the wind velocity (due to increased water temperature) increases, storm moisture content increase. When a hurricane is above warm water it picks up energy from it and gets stronger. CO2 causes global warming by heating up the atmosphere and the earth which causes oceans water temperature to rise.

2. The most memorable scene in the video I watched was when the filmmaker presented the Simpsons (form of character) as a man explains to a little girl what is global warming and how greenhouse gases are the cause of global warming. I remember this scene specifically because it is entertaining and cartoon.

3. The filmmaker tried to make the science behind climate change easier for people to understand who may not have a science background by making many interesting graphs that are easy to understand and by presented a cartoon video about global warming.

4. I was not convinced by the filmmaker because he just said many facts that did not prove any of them. He said the relationship between temperature and CO 2 is complicated, but he doesnt say what these complications are.

5. The filmmaker used many techniques to keep interest while watching the film. 2 of these techniques are:

1. He made some jokes in the middle of the presentation. 2. He used many interesting photos and animation with many high quality graphics.

6. The filmmaker shows his bias by not relating to the other side of the story (other opinion). He only related to only one side of the story (his opinion).

7. If I could talk to the filmmaker I would ask him 2 questions about climate change and about the film, they are:

1. How much does human activity affect the climate? 2. If you are wrong about humans causing global warming what will you do?

1. In this film (The Great Global Warming Swindle) there were many arguments that convinced me that global warming is not caused by CO2 emissions. Here are 3 arguments: Argument 1: industrial production of the early decades of the 20 th century was still in its infantcy. After the World War 2 many consumer goods like refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, and cars began to be produced for international markets. Historians call this global explosion of industrial activity POST WAR ECONOMIC BOOM. They produce CO2. This industrial story should have made the temperature warmer, but the temperature was already rising until 1940 during the industrial production was relatively insignificant. This warming began before car and planes were even invented. After the Second World War, during the POST WAR ECONOMIC BOOM, according to theory the temperature shouldve got up but it didnt, the temperature went down for 4 decades. In 1975 the temperature stopped falling.

Argument 2: the temperature is leading CO2 by 800 years. That proves that CO2 rising is caused when temperature rises. For example, when temperature rises the oceans water temperature gets warmer and that causes water to produce CO2. The warming produces the increase in CO2. CO2 follows temperature changes and the ice core records prove that.

Argument 3: the sun is the cause of rise in temperature. When air temperature was measured at the Arctic surface and when CO2 was measured at the same period, they never did fit together that means that there is no relationship between temperature and CO2. When solar activity (sun) was measured and the

temperature that was measured previously where put together they fit together (there is a relationship between them). The sun is driving climate change. CO2 is irrelevant.

2. The most memorable scene in the video is the animation about oceans, volcanoes, factories, animals, bacteria, and dying vegetation when they produce CO2. I remember this scene specifically because I like to watch and learn from animation.

3. The filmmaker tried to make the science behind climate change easier for people to understand who may not have a science background by making many very interesting graphs, I loved them because they were kind of 3D, and some animation.

4. I was convinced by the filmmaker because he said many interesting facts that were proven and measured by many ways and these ways were shown in the video. For example, he proved that the rise of temperature is caused by the sun not by CO2. 5. The filmmaker used many techniques to keep interest while watching the film. 2 of these techniques are:

1. He used many historical videos about the past. 2. He used many interesting graphs.

6. The filmmaker shows his bias by referring to the other side of the story. He said that the other side of the story was wrong but he didnt say why.
