Name: Siti Nuraisyah Binti Mistam (164286) Nurun Nisaa Binti Abdul Wahab (161858) DEFINITION: Fertility is ability

to provide life or produce children naturally and actual occurrence of birth. Period Measure is the cross-section of the population in one year. Crude Birth Rate (CBR) is the number of children live birth in a given year per 1000 people alive at middle of that year. General Fertility Rate (GFR) is number of birth in year divided by number of women age 1545, times 1000. Child-woman Ratio (CWR) is ratio of the number of children under 5 to the number of woman 15-45, times 1000. Cohort Measure is follows the same people over a period of decade. Age-specific Fertility Rate (ASFR) is the number of birth in a year to women in a 5 year age group, divided by the number of all women in that age group, times 1000. Total Fertility Rate (TFR) is the total number of children a woman would bear during her lifetime if she were to experience the prevailing age-specific fertility rates of women. Gross Reproduction Rate (GRR) is the number of girl babies a cohort will have. Fecundity is the ability to have children. Mortality is the condition of being mortal, or susceptible to death. Crude Death Rate (CDR) is the annual number of deaths per 1000 people. Specific Death Rate (SDR) is the mortality rate calculated for a specific class or section of the population.

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is the annual number of deaths of children less than one year old per 1000 life births. Child Mortality Rate (CMR) is the annual number of deaths of children less than 5 year old per 1000 life births. Prenatal Mortality Rate (PMR) is the total of neonatal deaths and fetal deaths (stillbirths) per 1000 births. Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is the maternal deaths due to child bearing per 1000 live births. Standardized Mortality Rate (SMR) is the proportional comparison to the number of deaths that would have been expected if the population had been of a standard composition in term of age, gender, etc. Age-specific Mortality Rate (ASMR) is the total number of deaths per year per 1000 people of a given age. FORMULA: FERTILITY Crude Birth Rate: No. of child live birth in a given year 1000 MORTALITY Crude Death Rate: D/P x k (constant,1000 or 100 000) D= total number of deaths among residents in a community during a calendar year P= the average number of person living in that community during the year General Fertility Rate: No. of births in a year No. of women age 15-45 Infant Mortality Rate: D/B x k (constant,1000 or 100 000) D= the number of deaths (exclude fetal) between births and one year old among residents in a community during a calendar year B= total number of live births within the same

year Child-woman Ratio: No. of children under 5 x 1000 No. of woman age 15-45 Child Mortality Rate: No. of death of children below than 5 years old 1000 live births Prenatal Mortality Rate: Sum of neonatal deaths and fetal deaths (stillbirths) 1000 births Maternal Mortality Rate: Maternal deaths due to childbearing 100 000 live births
