Quarters From Quarter No:1 To 36 (i.e for 18 Blocks) and 'DEE'type Quarters

The Construction of Residential Quarters in T.G.P Camp Colony @ K.R.Dam was completed
in the year 1985. The on wards the Residential Quarters are maintaing as per G.O Ms No: dt at the rate of
1.60/sft for residential buildings and 1.80/sft for non Residential buildings. The was issued in the 1986 and the
estimate is sanctioning with the 1986 rates which is not at all sufficient to maintain the Residential and non
residential Quarters. Hene no major repair works are done since the construction of Quarters are competed,
and the residential buildings are became in a deterated condition.
As a part of development activity far rural areas, Andhra Pradesh, Government have decided
to establish an Institute in Kandaleru Project area. In this connection S.V. University Vice Chancellor,
Chairman for Higher Education Department, District Collector and Superintending Engineer, SSLC & SB
Circle, Nellore along with Member of Legislative Assembly of Rapur inspected the dam site on 8.2.07 in the
first instance. Subsequently a team of members from Higher Education Department of Andhra Pradesh
visited dam site along with Hon’ble Minister for information & Public relation and Tourism on 26.05.2007.
They have decided to make use of the existing buildings in K.R. Dam. As a part, workshop shed proposed a
class rooms and Mechanical sub.division office as Mess, after getting necessary renovation work done,
accommodation for 100 Nos. of students and 12 Nos. of staf in the Quarters of T.G.P. Camp colony at
K.R.Dam.
In this regard a meeting was conducted in Hon’ble Minister’s presence with Zilla Parishad
Chairman, Nellore, Nelloe District Collector, 21st Century Gurukulam CoOrdinators and Executive Engineer,
SSLC & SB Division No.2, Nellore.
In above meeting it is decided to provided funds for class room shed Mess shed renovation
work from ACDP funds, Collector’s fund, Road, Gate, Fencing work from Z.P. funds and repairs to Quarters
from T.G.P. Funds.
In this contest, the fact is that the construction of quarters, store shed, Mechanical workshop
sheds etc., were constructed during the year 1985. The formation of Kandaleru Earth dam bund was

completed during the year 1997. The Work shop yard and Store yard area and sheds were utilized by the then
Mechanical staff. After 1997 there is no maintenance activity in workshop as well as store yards. Major part
of Machinery kept idle were soldout conducting auction. At present only Major part is left out.
For 100 Nos of Studunts and 12 Nos Staff of College are to stay in Kandaleru Dam. Until
their there construction of buildings for College and Hostel they decided to stay in T.G.P Camp Colony
Quarters. For their accommodation it is necessary to bring up the above quarters in leaving condition. Hence
this estimate was prepared for temporary repairs for above Quarter with the following provisions.

1) White washing with best shell lime (or) snow ceam or equelent ceam one after
racking of old white washing including cost and conveyance of Brushes gangee
powder Or Gum watering the wall before white washing etc.complete as directed by
the department
2) Painting of doors and windows with best enamel paint cast including cost and
conveyance of all materials and labour charges, Centering, Scaffolding etc, complete
for finished Item of work.
3) Brick masonry in CM 1:5 using with country bricks including cost and conveyance of
all materials and labour charges etc complete.
4) Plastering with CM 1:4,12mm thick to the exposed faces of brick masonry including
cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges
5) Ceiling plastering with CM 1:2,20 mm thick including scaffolding charges etc
including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc. complete for
finished item of work.
6) Supplying and fixing of 7/18 All minimum service wire (double)along with plastic cleats
at 0.3m C/C and ceramic egg insulators 3 nos and supporting G.I wire including cost
and conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc complete
7) Supplying and fixing of Main Switch board of TW of size 12" x 10" (0.3M X0.2 m)
including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc complete.
8) Supplying and fixing of main Switches of CI/MS of 32 AMPS including cost and
conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc complete for finished item of work
9) Supplying and fixing of Meter Boards of Size 0.2 mX0.3 M of TW (10"/12") made
including cost and conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc complete.
10) Supplying and fixing of 16 AMPS Fugues lings of Ceramic made including cost and
conveyance of al materials and labour charges etc. complete
11) Supplying and fixing of 6 AMPS Switches (Single) including wiring cost and
conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc. complete
12) Supplying and fixing of 6" X 8" TW switch board with lamination top including cost and
conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc. complete.
13) Supplying and fixing of 6" X 4" TW switch board with lamination top including cost and
conveyance of all materials and labour charges etc. complete.
14) Supplying and fixcing of 6 AMPS 2 in one socket and switch including wiring and cost
and conveyance of all materials and labour chares etc.complete.
15) Supplying and fixing of PVC battern Holders including wiring and cost and conveyance
of all materials and labour charges etc.complete.
16) Supplying and fixing of Bulk Heads along with wiring including cost and conveyance of
all materials and labour charges etc.complete

Rates : The rates are obtained as per current SSR for the year 2007– 2008 and local Market rates.
Programme of Work: The work is to be taken up on emergence basis with out calling tender and will be
completed before their occupation. i.e 10/07.
Funds : Head of Account : MH 4701 on Major and Medium irrigation (01) Major irrigate ( commercial),SH
(26) D & A 530 major works,533 buildings.
