Abstract
Since its introduction as an approach to innite dimensional analysis by Hida and Streit in 1983, white noise analysis has been successful in its applications to several quantum mechanical systems in obtaining the Feynman propagator. Recently, Grothaus et. al. applied white noise analysis to the time-dependent quantum harmonic oscillator. Moreover, they have shown that the Feynman integrand exists as a Hida distribution indicating that the S and T transforms can be applied to solve for the propagator of the quantum system. More recently, white noise analysis has been applied to the damped harmonic oscillator a case of a time-dependent harmonic oscillator. This paper is, then, geared towards obtaining a generalized white noise functional for the damped harmonic oscillator in a uniform magnetic eld. Here, an oscillator of charge q, mass m, frequency with damping constant is placed in a uniform magnetic eld, H = H0 k. The Lagrangian for the damped oscillator in a magnetic eld is calculated as L=

xy) exp(t) +

z2 2z2 .

The corresponding Feynman propagator from the Lagrangian in Eq. (1) can be separated into Kxy and Kz where Kz is identied as the propagator of the damped harmonic oscillator in one dimension. The path integral Kxy is evaluated by modeling the paths of the damped oscillator in terms of the Brownian motion B(t) = ( )d with ( ) as the white noise variable. With this parametrization, the integration over the Lebesgue measures d x and d y is translated into an integration over the Gaussian white noise measure d() with Ixy = exp

as the generalized white noise functional, where FSt is due to the term in Kxy similar to that of the Levys stochastic area and L is the Larmor frequency. c 2011 SPVM. All rights reserved.
