Coordinator Eco-tourism Programme

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and Experience in the Hospitality Sector Strong communication and marketing skills Demonstrable achievement in the tourism and eco-tourism, sites of eco-tourism attractions in Pakistan, Willing to spend time with the local communities and work in challenging field conditions. Requires strong coordination and relationship building skills Training and development of staff on all key requisites for the Eco Tourism Programme SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Proven problem-solving skills and delivery oriented; Good English and Urdu language both written and verbal skills; Demonstrated interpersonal communication and advocacy skills; Sensitivity to gender and other current social challenges in Pakistan; Strong planning and coordinating skill

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


At least a Masters degree in the relevant field. Minimum 4 years experience of working in a relevant field; Knowledge of local language will be an added value

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop SMART annual KPIs for the Eco Tourism Department of WWF-Pakistan Market and launch WWF-Pakistan Eco Tourism Programme across Pakistan to individuals and Corporate Sector across Pakistan, educational institutions, and others potential sectors; Design, Plan and organize the eco-tourism section of WWF-Pakistan under the direct supervision of Manager Corporate Relations.

Coordinate with relevant Forest and Wild Life Department Tourism Development Corporations, and others; for technical guidance on organizing eco-tourism based events in Pakistan Identify and asses potential ecotourism sites in Pakistan and plan for launching ecotours for a diverse target groups across Pakistan. Write reports, prepare brochures, develop educational and publicity material about eco-tourism, eco-tours, and eco-tourism opportunities planned; Recruit and supervise staff to successfully conduct the eco-tours across the country Coordinate with other technical and administrative staff of WWF-Pakistan in its various field and project offices for effective implementation of eco-tours; Liaison with the communities through meetings with them on a regular basis to establish effective partnerships for ecotourism promotion and benefit sharing mechanisms; Participate in-house planning sessions to plan and share targets and achievements Keep regular record of eco-tours (daily & weekly), visual record, and submit fortnightly reports to Manager Corporate Relations. Develop plan and implement new initiatives to improve the eco tourism program Design a CRM (Customer Relation Management) System to develop and sustain relationships with patrons of the Eco tourism Programme Any other task assigned by the supervisor WWF-Pakistan is an equal opportunity employer.
