Seton Hall University in New Jersey offers extreme tuition discounts ($10,104) to students who have a minimum of 27 ACT composite or combined 1200 SAT with not less than 550 on both the critical reading and math sections. Indiana State Universitys offers undergraduate degrees in music education, music business, performance and composition. They will host two music career days on Nov. 7 and Feb. 10th. Additionally, they will host auditions for admission and scholarship consideration on Nov. 7, Jan. 23, Feb. 10, Feb. 11 and Feb. 20th. The Central Indiana Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association is awarding four (4), $1,000.00 scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. The eligibility requirements are that the student be a resident of Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks or Marion county, and will be attending any campus of Indiana University in the Fall of 2012. The University of St. Francis will host a Talent Day on December 3, 2011 with scholarships in the following areas being awarded: Studio art, Communication Arts and Graphic Design, Music Technology,

Art Education, Art History, Communication, Computer Art, Choir, Pep Band, Guitar Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Drum Line. Interested students school call 260-399-7700 x 8001 to register. The University of Southern Indiana Greater Indianapolis Alumni Association Scholarship is available to seniors who have attained a cumulative 3.25 grade point average or better. The scholarship recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship awarded in $500 allotments each fall semester for a maximum of four years of eligibility. The award will be applied by the USI Financial Assistance Office toward the recipients tuition, fees, and books at USI beginning with the 2012-13 academic year. The application can be accessed in the guidance carousel. The deadline is March 9, 2012. PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED SCHOLARSHIPS Lilly ScholarshipsEach county has their own requirements and deadlines for the Lilly Scholarship, but most award tuition, fees, and usually (but not always) a book stipend. Boston University offers the following scholarships with a deadline of December l, 20111. a. Trustee Scholarship - Boston University's most prestigious full-tuition scholarship recognizes outstanding academic performance and leadership ability. b. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship - a full-tuition scholarship that recognizes students who have embraced the ideals of Dr. King and who have demonstrated a strong commitment to social justice and community involvement. Students must also present very strong academic records. c. Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship - a full-tuition scholarship that recognizes students with strong math and science abilities who have the potential to thrive at BU's College of Engineering. d. Presidential Scholarship, a $20,000 renewable scholarship for students with exceptional academic records. No additional essays or nominations are required. However, priority consideration will be given to students who submit an application for admission by December 1. e. The School of Education Scholarship - a full-tuition scholarship that recognizes academically gifted students who will be the teachers of tomorrow. Application deadline: January 1, 2012

Belmont University (TN) will automatically consider students for their scholarships with a completed application submitted in total by Dec. 1st. All scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,000 annually. More scholarship information can be found online at: www.belmont.edu/sfs/undergrad/merit.html

The Indiana Latino Institute offers scholarships to current high school students who have a 2.5 gpa, demonstrate financial need, and who have been involved in service. Applications are available in the guidance carousel. Preference is given to Latino students. Baker College (MI) offers scholarship in a variety of programs in the following areas: business; engineering/technology (including automotive, electronic, interior design, computer); health services; education and human services; and office administration. For more information: www.baker.edu Applications must be submitted by May 1st. Indiana Wesleyan University announces their Servant Leader Scholarship competition. Eight students will be selected to receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 a year. Students must apply to IWU and then to the John Wesley Scholars Program (Honors College). Finalists will be invited on campus for an interview in February or March. Applications are due Feb. 1. Butler University STEM Scholars Program is available to students who plan to major in a STEM field: biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, or software engineering. Submit an application for admission by Feb. l, 2012 and submit the FAFSA by March 1st. Finalist will need to submit a letter of recommendation from a science or math teacher, provide a written lab report or research paper, and participate in an on-campus discovery session. Ball State University offers the Miller Scholars Program for students planning to pursue a business major. Ten scholarships are awarded annually and can be renewed for three years. Requirements: 3.82 core gpa, SAT average 1850+ (all three tests) or ACT 28, and honors or AP courses. The program seeks students who are curious about the how and why of particular topics and are eager to pursue knowledge. All application materials must be received by Jan. 31, 2012. More information: www.bsu.edu/business/millerscholars. Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio offers $10,000 awards for non-majors in dance, music, theater, and studio art. Audition and portfolio submissions required. Additionally for majors in dance, music, and theater there are full-tuition awards. For more information: admission.case.edu Fall open house is November 11, 2011. The following universities offer a co-op scholarship: Drexel University (PA), Johnson & Wales University, Kettering (MI), Rochester Institute of Technology (NY), University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Deadline is Feb. 15, 2012 and students must have a 3.5/4.0 gpa and complete all admissions requirements. The number of monetary awards will vary by institution but there are at least 15 awards at each school. Please know that many institutions offer co-op opportunities.

AXA offers two different scholarships. The AXA Achievement Community Scholarship in association with U. S. News & World Report is due by Dec. 1 and is based on ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and ability to succeed in college. The deadline is Feb. 1, 2012. Spalding University in Louisville offers scholarships in the amount of $1500 to $14,500 for a specific gpa and test score. The scores and gpa range from a 2.3 and 16 ACT for a $1,500 award to a 3.9 gpa and 30+ ACT for an award of up to $14,500. These are automatic scholarships with an application. Additionally, students can apply for 80 different Spalding Endowed Scholarship via one application which becomes available in February. The Endowed Scholarships are renewable annually and range from $1,500 to $2,000. www.spalding.edu

Band Awardparticipation in band--$500 to $1,000 18. IUPUI Scholarships. IUPUI offers several excellent scholarships including the Bepko, Plater and Herbert Presidential. The deadline for these scholarships is Nov. 15, 2011 and there is a separate application for each of the awards. Awards range from $8,000 a year for four years to full tuition for undergraduate and graduate work.

Students who are interested in financial services or insurance should consider applying for this Scholarship. Students will receive a $30,000 scholarship, personal laptop computer, and a $3,000 professional development account. Eastern Illinois University is offering the University Honors Program $2000 Scholarship to Roncalli students. With an ACT of 26+ and a 3.5 gpa (and an application for admission), students qualify for this award. EIU also offers the Presidential Scholars Award based on ACT of 28+ and a separate application. The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship is based on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
