BTC: Grand Opportunities for Teachers


According to the Secretary of Basic Education Council, Allahabad the recruitment of around 80,000 teachers is to be done in Uttar Pradesh. The proposal regarding the same has already been sent to the State Government. This recruitment will take place after the successful completion of Basic Training Certificate (BTC) Program. The curriculum of this training program has been designed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). For the year 2011, the program will be organized by the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Uttar Pradesh. The Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may enroll for this training program as per the details given below:

THE CANDIDATES BELONGING TO THE NEWLY FORMED DISTRICTS CAN APPLY TO THE CONCERNED DIET CENTRES AS PER THE TABLE GIVEN BELOW:

The candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Arts/Commerce/Science with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent from an Institution/University recognized by UGC. (Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Class/PH/Dependants of Freedom Fighter/Ex-servicemen categories will be given a relaxation of 5% in the total aggregate). (ii) The candidate must be a domicile of State of Uttar Pradesh. AGE LIMIT: The candidate should be of not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age as on 1st July, 2011. (i) An Upper age relaxation of 5 years to the candidates belonging to the following categories: Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribes Other Backward Class Dependants of Freedom Fighter

(i) The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the Merit list. This merit list will be prepared by a Selection Committee set up under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate consisting of following members: District School Inspector Principal, Govt. Inter College/ Govt. Girls Inter College, District Headquarter District Basic Education Officer Prinicipal, DIET (ii) The merit list will be prepared by taking into account the sum of the aggregate percentage obtained by a candidate in High School, Intermediate and at Graduate level. (iii) The candidates will be called on a specific date by the authority for the screening of the documents. (iv) The decision made by the Selection Committee regarding the selection of the candidates will be considered as final. (i) The total number of candidates selected for the BTC Program 2011 will have 50% Male candidates and 50% Female candidates, out of which 50% candidates will be from the arts stream and 50% from the science streams. (ii) In case of any category which cannot be bifurcated in terms of Male/Female and Arts/Science stream, preference shall be given to the candidate with the better aggregate as per the merit list. (iii) 10% of the seats will be kept reserved for the candidates working as 'Shiksha Mitra'.
TRAINING FEE: (i) The DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS: SELECTION PROCEDURE:

ASSOCIATED DIETs DIET, Kaanth Moradabad DIET, Harichandpurkala- Etah DIET, Chibragu- Kannauj DIET, Saarnath- Varanasi DIET, Plastic Complex- Basti DIET, Faizabad DIET, Dajikuan- Noida DIET, Payagpur- Baharich DIET, Charkhari- Mahoba Sultanpur stipend or accommodation during the entire course of training period. (ii) Candidates seeking for a hostel accommodation can avail the same by paying an additional fee of Rs.1200/- excluding the mess charges.
RESERVATION: The

(ii) Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped categories shall be given the upper age relaxation of 15 years. (iii) Ex-servicemen candidates shall be given the upper age relaxation as per state Govt. norms. TENURE: The tenure of the Basic Training Certificate (BTC)Program will be of two years. APPLICATION FEE: (i) Candidates willing to apply for the Basic Training Certificate (BTC) Program will be required to pay the following prescribed amount as per the category to which they belong: General/Other Backward Class - Rs. 400/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe - Rs. 200/Physically Handicapped - None (ii) Candidates should pay the above mentioned prescribed application fee through a Demand Draft issued by a Nationalized Bank drawn in the favour of Prinicipal, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), District .. payable at the concerned district. (iii) The Demand Draft must be enclosed with the application form.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

candidates belonging to the various reserved categories shall be given the appropriate reservation as per the directives of the State Government.

(i) Candidates fulfilling all the eligibility criteria and willing to apply can download the application form from the website: www.scertup.com (ii) The application in the prescribed format on a A-4 size paper should be accompanied with educational certificates/testimonials, caste certificates and other necessary documents in support of the information furnished in the application form. (iii) The candidates are strictly advised to send only one application form. In case of more than one application form received by the same candidate, his/her candidature will be rejected as a whole. (iv) The duly filled in application form completed in all respect along with all the necessary documents should be sent through registered post or speed post only to the 'District Institute of Education and Training' of the concerned District so as to reach on or before 24th September, 2011.

Basic Training Certificate (BTC)Program will be of two years having a total of four semesters of six month each. The candidates selected for this training program will be required to pay a training fee of Rs. 4600/- per annum. It should be clarified that the candidates will not be provided any kind of

(i)The candidates willing to apply must send the duly filled in application form on or before the last date of receipt of applicae tion i.e. 24th September, 2011 to the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) of the concerned district. (ii)A candidate should submit only one application to the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) of his/her district. In case if a candidate applies in more than one district, his/her application is liable to be rejected. It should be clarified here that an envelope should contain only one application form by a candidate. The envelope containing more than one application form will be rejected by the authority. (iii)The candidates must clearly mention BTC Program 2011 on the top of the envelope containing the application form. (iv)The application form should be strictly in the prescribed format on an A-4 size single page only. Incomplete application forms will be summarily rejected. (v)Applications without candidates signature/self attested photograph/send through ordinary post/in other than prescribed format/without the Demand Draft of prescribed application fee will be rejected. (vi)To avail various relaxations and reservations, candidates must attach the valid document with the application form issued by the competent authority. (vii)Candidates are advised to furnish the correct information to the best of their knowledge while filling up the application form. In case of any errors later, his/her candidature shall be rejected.
