Background of the Study Introduction The Philippines is an archipelago surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Celebes Sea, and

the South China Sea. It is a republic with an illustrious history. It has been an active trading center since pre-colonial times, a site of decisive battles and political revolutions, and, for centuries, a cultural meeting ground of East and West. The Philippines is composed of 7107 islands all over it. It is overwhelming to explore it, but some of the islands are not yet discovered. they are called Virgin Islands of the Philippines. Speaking of islands, Boracay Island always comes to our mind as a isle-freak. Aside from the infamous Boracay, there are other islands in the tropics. The researcher will enlighten us to the world full of isles here in the Philippines. Statement of the Problem The main purpose of the study is to discover beautiful island in the Philippines that are not yet known to many. Specifically, it will try to answer the following question: 1. What are the distinguishing marks of 2. Why they are spotted as possible tourist spots? 3. How it would affect our tourism industry?

Importance of the Study The Philippines is composed of different islands that are not known. Now it, will be unwrap. The study is important to the following: To the tourism student- The result will help the tourism student to become familiar with the beautiful places around the Philippines. It is important in their chosen career. Many islands here in the Philippines are undiscovered yet. To the tourist guide- Their career is to let our country be known by introducing them to the foreigners. It is important for them so that they can help promote the islands here in the Philippines that are not yet populated now. By promoting our islands to other nation, it can help our economy become stable. To the tourist- They should know the islands that are worth visiting here in the Philippines. If they are looking for a vacation in our country, they should know about islands like, Pamalican Island. They are not yet known but are really blessed and beautiful. Scope and Delimitation The study will cover the islands that are possible to become tourist spots. It focuses on the distinguishing characteristics of each of them.
