2. Compute for the mean.

A. feet

total length of feet : 208

No of samples : 10

Mean : total length / n

208 / 10 = 20.8

B. elbow

total length of feet : 217

No of samples : 10

Mean : total length / n

217 / 10 = 21.7

Formula:

Standard Deviation = sum((x-mean)2))/(n-1))

= 1453/10-1)

= 1453/9)

= 4.235

Formula:

Standard Deviation = sum((x-mean)2))/(n-1))

= 1206/10-1)

= 1206/9)

Conclusion:

According to the data gathered by the BSN2 students taking the biostatistics class, the total
length of the feet is 20.8 with a standard deviation of 4.235 and the elbow with the total length of 21.7
with a standard deviation of 2.473 .
