Variety of methods can be used in phenomenological-based research such interviews, conversations, participant observation, action research, focus meetings and analysis of personal texts. 3. The purpose of the phenomenological approach is to illuminate the specific, to identify phenomena through how they are perceived by the actors in a situation. 4. I communicated well during interview in the data gathering. 5. I utilized different strategies in gathering data. 6. I established rapport to my respondents. 7.
