Macquarie Universitys Yellowfin Implementation Wins 2011 Peoples Choice Award Australian Higher Education provider, Macquarie University

(MQ), a client of int ernational Business Intelligence (BI) vendor, Yellowfin, has won the Peoples Choi ce Award at the inaugural 2011 Excellence in Business Intelligence Awards. Melbourne, VIC, November 11, 2011 -- Australian Higher Education provider, Macqu arie University (MQ), a client of international Business Intelligence (BI) vendo r, Yellowfin, has won the Peoples Choice Award at the inaugural 2011 Excellence i n Business Intelligence Awards. Award winners were announced from a shortlist of six finalists at the Business I ntelligence and Data Warehousing 2.0 Conference, 26 October 2011, Sydney, Austra lia. The winner of the Peoples Choice Award was chosen by conference attendees, w hich included a raft of industry leaders, veterans and experts, who nominated th e case study they found most inspiring. The awards, coordinated by The Australian Business Intelligence Leadership Forum (ABILF), were open to any organization or vendor that delivered or participated in the delivery of a BI project within Australia since 1 July 2010. MQ applied for the award after launching its self-service reporting and analytics program i n May this year. The program, branded as Datamart, is powered by Yellowfins BI s olution. Were really pleased with this result, said Macquarie Chief Information Officer, Mar c Bailey. We think Macquarie University secured the Peoples Choice Award because were doing something genuinely unique and engaging with how our people go shoppin g for data.
