Plastic Surgeon In Malaysia.

Dr. Heng Kien Seng (Nicanor Clinic/Columbia Asia Hospital) B.Med.Sc (UKM), MD(UM), FRCS(Edinburgh), M Med (Surg) (Spore), AM(Mal) Dr HENG Kien Seng studied medicine at the National University of Malaysia from 1988 till 1993. He had his first experience in surgery upon reaching the shores of Sabah. He was transferred to the Kuala Lumpur General Hospital (KLGH) in 1996 after the completion of his part I fellowship examination. He underwent training in various surgical rotations which included general surgery, urology, orthopaedic and hepatobiliary. His plastic surgical training began in 1999 at the Department of Plastic Surgery at KLGH. After completing 2 years of training, he was accepted to the Department of Plastic Surgery, Singapore General Hospital (SGH). During his 3 years in SGH, he underwent extensive and comprehensive training in various sub-disciplines in Plastic Surgery which included burns, reconstructive, microsurgery and craniomaxillofacial surgery. During his training, Dr Heng travelled extensively and visited various Plastic Surgical centers to further his knowledge and skills in Plastic Surgery. Amongst the few were:

Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, with Prof Dr Yu Ray Chen Plastic Surgery Institute of Southern California, with Dr Edward Owen Terino Isse Institute of Cosmetic Surgery, Burbank, California, with Dr Nicanor G. Isse Upon his return to Malaysia in 2004, he took up the position as a lecturer and consultant plastic surgeon at University Malaya Medical Centre. Dr Heng advanced his cosmetic practise at the private wing of University Malaya Specialist Centre from 2004 to 2005. He was accepted to the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (MAPACS) in 2004.

In 2006, Dr Heng left university practise and joined a group of dermatologists in Klang. He furthered his grip in various cosmetic surgical procedures which included liposuction, sculpturing of the body, breast surgery, and creation of double eyelid, rhinoplasty and facelift. Dr Heng is the first Plastic Surgeon in Malaysia to be trained by the Vaser Institute, a Colorado based establishment, dedicated to surgical training in body sculpting. Upon completion of more than 100 cases of body sculpting, he went to be the first few Plastic Surgeons in the world to undergo the High Definition Liposculpture training, an advanced body contouring technique developed by Colombian plastic surgeon, Dr Alfredo Hoyos. It is a 3-dimensional procedure that will reveal a sculpted, well-toned, muscular detail of the body. In early 2007, Dr Heng furthered his knowledge in breast augmentation with Dr Charles Randquist, a renowned Plastic Surgeon specialises in tear drop shaped breast implants. Since then, Dr Heng is one of the top users of tear drop shape breast implant in Malaysia. In May 2007, Dr Heng started his own Cosmetic Surgery Centre at the KLSMC and the Nicanor Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Centre. Dr Heng continues to update himself to the recent techniques, technologies and advancement in Cosmetic Surgery in order that his patients receive only the best in Aesthetic surgery.
