The Setting

Industrial Revolution is the high production by the machine goods which was increased incredibly. In England, during the 1700s, England wanted to keep their secrets of their developments and let any other nations know about their method and productions. Yet an unknown man was able to escape from England and secretively delivered the information to the US. One of the first farmer scientist from England was Jethro Tull who was able to invent the marvelous seed drill which allowed farmers to farm in evenly spaced rows. This was important in farming because it allowed more space for seeds which helped the crop field. The fastest development was the textile industrialization. Textile Industrialization helped the growth of cotton manufacture. Also, transportation grew huge among the countries as well. Inventor James Watt invented the steam engines. The steam engines allowed people to travel faster. This was important because people got recruited for jobs outside of their town.

Socially, many countries changed because of the Industrial Revolution. At most points, it affected the different social classes. The factory workers were overloaded with work and were paid way less than others. The lower class was full of the unemployment commoners and the skilled factory workers were the lower middle class. The factory owners and the merchants were the upper middle class and the upperclass were the ones that were in middle class that were wealthier than the others. The landowners worked for most of the days and only got 30 minutes of resting and was required to work atlas 16 hours shift. Furthermore, upperclass people whipped the landowners because at times they would get slouched up and drowsy from the shifts and lack of sleep. The payment was pretty bad compared to the work that was being done by the workers.

Ever since the start of the Industrial Revolution, many things were able to change because people started developing from the past models. Every time something was newly developed, it made people's life easier. For example, the crop rotation invented by Robert Bakewell increased the amount of farmers' crop income rate in an year. But before the invention, they were able to produce average of 18 lbs. of crops when after the invention, it increased to almost 50 lbs. Other than farming inventions, but transportation related inventions were developed and increased as well. For example, James Watt, a mathematical instrument maker invented the steam engine which made the transportations work faster and more efficiently while burning less fuel.

Many of the people's life style changed as inventions increased and advanced. Before the inventions, people tried getting jobs near home so that they could get back home earlier and spend family quality time. As the steam engine was invented, people started getting jobs far away from home. People got jobs easily because of their varieties of optional locations.

From the Industrial Revolution, Politics made a major difference at this era. A new concept called socialism was a hit. Socialism is when the factors of productions are owned by the public and operate for the welfare for all. From socialism, people were able to not starve to death, and they were able to be treated with more equal rights. Socialist people were normally people without jobs or the people who do have jobs but were paid after working more than 10 hours a day. Socialist people thought that the Capitalist people took advantage of them, and the socialists believed that the state should protect them. On the other hand, Capitalism is an economic system where the factories where privately owned and money was invested to make profits. So, factories competed with each other. The government didnt interfere with the economy. As more and more workers protested about their unfair treatments, reformation came about. From that reformation they got a law protecting women workers and children workers. Also, they had a law saying the maximum hour an individual is able to work. The reformation started to spread, and the end of slavery, fight for womens right came from all of that which later on succeeded to work out well.
