ENGLISH Last week students worked on their poetry analysis and its connection to the theme of Transformation. Researching, outlining, and writing came to a conclusion this week for most of the English classes. The next challenge is the ERB testing this week. ERB is a standardized writing test that will help teachers to get a clear picture of where students are with their writing abilities. SOCIAL STUDIES The current focus is on historical revolutions, specically the American Revolution, Russian Revolution, French Revolution and the Iranian Revolution of 1979, learning about them and

analyzing them for the four stages of a revolution. From there, students will work with a group to put together a presentation on the stages of their particular revolution (one of the four). Skills, such as notetaking, interactive reading, and presentation skills, will be focused on.
