San Diego County has remained higher unemployment since last year. Also, children of under18 live in poverty. If people dont have a job, they have to back to work even middle-class jobs. Then they can be stay out of poverty. They also have to make lots of payments such as their mortgages, bills, and health care.

They compared the percent of poverty between the nation, county, and CA. From 2005 to 2009, the poverty rate in San Diego grew faster than CA and the nation.
