0 Introduction The project is for the installation of a large solar panel, with a team of 150 engineers, technicians, and construction workers. It is the responsibility of the project manager to organize, integrate, manage and lead his/her team and ensure that they cooperate in the execution of the project. People are an important part of any project and people management is important in project success. 2.0 Questions to ask In order to understand the human factors involved in the new projects, some of the questions i will find very pertinent to ask will be: Who the stakeholders are and their expectations? Who the departmental heads/sectional heads are? The area of expertise and specialization, competence, experience on similar projects of the departmental heads/sectional leaders? 3.0 Preparing for the face to face meeting To prepare myself for the face to face meeting I will ensure the following: a) I understand the project scope, charter and objectives fully. b) Evaluate the project scope vis-a-vis stakeholders expectation. c) Itemize a project management plan for the project d) Familiarize myself with the environment and the work ethics of the people e) Set an agenda for the proposed meeting to discuss and tackle project management issues relating to the project. Sanghera (2010, p.269) enthuses that team members will have various questions to ask and he identified steps that can make project kick off meetings successful as;

4.0 Individuals to invite to the meeting and why Individuals that it will be fundamental to meet with at this early stage will be the various heads of departments/sectional heads. This is basically because they need to be briefed about the project goals and objective and strategy for achieving project success. It also serves as an opportunity to sample their views and opinion about the project and

listen to suggestions they may have that will be beneficial to advancing the overall success of the project. At this stage it is important to formulate together a team strategy and define roles for each department/ sections in the overall project strategy. The sectional heads can in turn meet with their various team members to develop strategies to integrate to the overall project success strategy. 5.0 Focus The focus will not only be on my team but on meeting other key people relevant to the project success, like project sponsors and all stakeholders, organizational units and their heads as well vendors key to the project success. 6.0 Conclusion The dynamics of a project is determined by the projects strategies, work plan, team processes, team behaviours and individual human factor. Wong (2007 p.16) It is important to consider human factor in any project because it is vital to the overall success or failure of the project. Treating team members right can go a long way in advancing project success. Trust men and they will be true to you; treat them greatly and they will show themselves great. --Ralph Waldo Emerson References Laureate Education Inc.
