This template provides an example for the abstract of the international conference on nanotechnology 2012 (ICONT2012) to be held at Kuantan, located at the scenic east coast of peninsular Malaysia. The abstract should be prepared in the 10-point Times New Roman font with a line spacing of 1.15. The abstract should be limited to 500 words including the importance of the topic, key results, and conclusions. Participants are encouraged to submit a full paper of their work to be published in the Nanohybrids journal by the Trans Tech Publications where description of the research could be elaborated. One of the authors must be registered to the conference to include the abstract in the conference digest as well as consideration of publication of the full paper in the conference proceedings. Authors are highly encouraged for early bird registration. Recently, owing to the possibility of designing materials in nano-morphology with tailored physical, electrical, chemical and biological characteristics compared to their bulk counterparts, various innovative architectures are being conceived to miniaturise products with more efficient functional properties. As a result, many researchers around the world have become active in science and engineering of nanomaterials. Main goal of the ICONT 2012 is to provide a platform for the world-class researchers and engineers to assemble and share the recent knowledge as well as to discuss the initiations required for this rapidly growing field. Abstracts from all areas of nanoscience and technology are welcome with special emphasis on the following topics: Advances in synthesis of nanomaterials Novel nanostructures with tailored chemical compositions and long-term stability Novel approaches for the nanomaterials characterization Mechanical, electronic, chemical, thermal and biological properties of Nanomaterials Novel approaches for embodiment of Nanomaterials into/onto existing structures Applications of Nanomaterials To conclude, this 500-word abstract is the first step for participation in the ICONT 2012 to present your new key research results and discuss it with world-class academicians, scientists, technologists, and representatives from industries for further enhancing the human knowledge capital and economic growth of the mankind. Keywords: ICONT 2012, east coast of peninsular Malaysia, nanoscience and technology, new experimental results, human progress
