CAREER OBJECTIVES

To take up an assignment with a progressive organization with the objective of effective and output oriented utilization of my knowledge and skills for the achievement of the organizations goals.

Creating innovative surface designs for extensive range of textile products. To update knowledge on new design, production techniques and textile technology. An Art lover-well familiar with sketching/painting medium like pencil, charcoal, dry pastels, oil pastels, water colors, poster colors, and acrylic colors. Have had a good hand in media like clay, Plaster of Paris, wood. Familiar with quite a lot of traditional Indian textiles and good with the basic stitches of embroidery. Penchant for photography. Interest in Art & Craft.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in design, semester-7 in, Fashion & Textiles [Textile Design] from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur, Kerala. Class 12th (mathematics, chemistry, physics with computers), CBSE Board, R.S. high school, Ramgarh College, Jharkhand.

SKILLS
Familiar with technologies like Adobe Photoshop (up to CS4), Adobe flash, illustrator, Corel Draw13, Textile CAD (Ned graphics- Design & Repeat, Colour reduction, Dobby) and MS Office tools. Conceptualization and creating various surfaces and patterns.

Eye for texture, color and produce various designs, Embroidery, Bead work, prints for the textiles and apparel, by using various surface techniques. Ability to create new styles with the help of the study of forecast. An understanding of woven designs on handlooms in basic weaves and its derivatives. Various printing techniques like block printing resist printing and screen printing on fabric.

EXPOSURE

INDUSTRIAL

Industry Exposure programme in Arvind Mills, Ahmadabad.(08th to 19th March, 2010) Worked as a intern in weaving society in Kerala handloom craft. Worked as a intern in Design and Production department at Modelama Exports ltd. situated in Gurgao Delhi (23th May to 16th july,2011). Also a visit has been made to the famous industries and Textile research centers, like Murgan Mills (Coimbatore) Ambadi Textiles (Kannur), SITRA (South Indian textile research association) Coimbatore, WSC (Weavers service centre), Kannur.

CRAFT DOCUMENTATION

Four weeks thorough craft documentation was completed in chirekkal, (Kerala) for Chirekkal weave, a Handloom weaving method.
