High Pressure Sodium lamps with outstanding lifetime

Aura Sodinette AN Long Life lamps are developed for applications according to ANSI standards. They are designed for operation at net power of 100 - 120 V. The Aura Sodinette AN Long Life has a colour temperature of 2000 K and a colour rendering index Ra 25. Aura Sodinette AN Long Life can be operated in any burning position. In application areas with difficult access to luminaires, high installation conditions and where a stop in a production or the replacement overall is expensive, the Aura Sodinette AN Long Life is the beneficial solution. The lifetime of Aura Sodinette AN Long Life is 70,000 hours average, and 48,000 hours with a 12 h-switching cycle. Operation is possible either with magnetic ballast and separate starter or with defined electronic ballasts. Aura Sodinette AN Long Life is directed for applications in professional segments as street lighting, tunnel lighting, public lighting, car parks, industrial lighting and sport facilities. In case of net power disturbances the Aura Sodinette AN Long Life restrikes directly based on the two burner technology. No specific cooling down time is needed.

Overview
Aura Sodinette AN Long Life lamps are designed for operation in existing installation infrastructures. The two arc tubes are positioned in the length axis and fixed in a stable holding system which resists vibrations and lead to improved reliability. The high-quality burner offer up to 120 lm/W. The combination of light level and long lifetime results in a more economical efficiency.

Lifetime
The average lifetime is defined with 70,000 hours with a switching cycle of 12 hours operation (11 h on, 1 h off). In certain professional application more important is the level of 10% failure rate as base for group replacement. Based on the same switching cycle this lifetime level is 48,000 hours. Group replacement of high intensity discharge lamps provides an optimal control of operational costs and gives a uniform level of light. For economical and environmental reasons Aura recommends group replacement of Long Life high intensity discharge lamps.

Long Life Technology

By equipping Aura Sodinette AN Long Life with two burners, it is possible to extend the lifetime significantly. An extended lifetime is also realised by reducing the diffusion of sodium, through the patented Sodiguard. The Sodiguard is an added ceramic tube placed close to the burners, which decelerate the process of loosing sodium.

Technical Information
Aura Sodinette AN Long Life complies with the relevant ANSI standards. The geometric data are comparable with standard lamps, for both the clear tubular and claer elliptical versions. The outer glass is made of a special hard glass which protects the components inside from damage and secures the functionality over the long lifetime. The hard class is lead free and is used for all wattages (50W up to 600W). The high level arc tubes inside are filled with high class components. The ignition of a HPS lamp requires a high power. In case of net power disturbances the Aura Sodinette AN Long Life restrikes directly based on the two burner technology and no specific cooling is needed.
