1. Preferable Washing machine compatible, as here I can see its not much costly, its like $1 for washing and $1 for drying. (may vary from place to place)
2. Some places in US are pretty dry, suggest to carry at least a small bottle for both head and body, buy a new one as it would be sealed.
3. Would be useful, as soon as you land, and make sure you either migrate to lower plan or some other plan which would cost you less
during the time of your stay in US. Since mine was Reliance, I at least could use it as a Phone book.
4. Would be useful, if you are staying for long time, carry some different kinds of buttons, importantly learn to use them. :)
7. Quantity of items depends on your Stay duration.

5. You bet you don't want to spend lot on batteries, it’s a bit costly in US (only if you are carrying any electronic items)
6. This would be useful for carrying your laundry to washing machine and back. (you don't want to carry big bunch in your hand!!)
8. If you are carrying different color of shoes, suggest you to carry neutral polish, as it will decrease luggage, or small boxes of each color.
but I suggest you to carry only one color of your choice, cos formal shoes are a bit heavy.

D. Food & Others Have It Have to Buy Packed which Baggage

You can carry, Ready to Eat stuff from India, many companies are coming up
with such kind of things, at lest it would save you time and money by the time
you get settled, if you are staying in hotel, most of them either common
micro over near reception or in your room. Check your hotel website and facilities
available

13. At lest three copies, keep one at home or with someone whom you can contact in case of emergency and who at lest have idea what to do in case
of emergency (I left it with one of my friend/college and carried his number) and one in a suitcase and one in your carrying luggage and original with you.

14. If you have corporate card its ok, still u might have to use it for official purpose only, so take a credit or debit card which saves you from 3.5%
transaction charges when you use it in dollars, check the best availability option, its good to have at least one dollar credit/debit card
15. Would be useful for paying your credit card bills, online. I had ICICI credit / debit card and registered for online billing statement, its was very
convenient.
16.This is one mistake I did, I couldn't change it to lower plan, and now I paid Rs.900 just for rent for two months, didn't even touch my phone, so
check with your operator and ask for suspend connection temporarily or migrate to lowest possible rental plan or any other plan.
