Cabinet is constructed from 5/8" Baltic Birch (11-ply, void-free) or similar plywood. Front edge of cabinet is "thickened" with strips of fir or pine, approximately 3/4w x 7/8d". Thickness of front edge, including levant (vinyl) is 1 15/32". Allowing 1/32" for levant, fir strips should be 13/16"
1" corner radius (can be started with a router but must be finished by hand due to slant). 10 11/16" (9 1/4") (before roundover)

1/2" BB ply
29 1/4" (25")
Handle cutout - 9 1/4" x 4 1/2" 4 3/4" from back, 15" from bottom Semi-circular cutouts (to accomodate handle) are 3" from bottom of cutout and are approximately 5/8" x 2h" 14 7/8" (12 3/8")
Bottom baffle - 28 1/4" x 14" Fir or pine 3/4" x 7/8" 14" (11 3/4")
Note - baffle is cut 1/4" smaller (1/8" each edge) than the inside dimensions of the cabinet to accomodate grill.
Baffle Detail
1/2" frame extends around perimeter of baffle and across the center. This "floats" the grill off of the baffle
2x2" back brace. Length should be slightly longer than cabinet is deep. Brace pushes against back, effectively dividing the back panel into four smaller panels, and changing the resonant frequency and greatly reducing cabinet vibration. In early cabinets the brace was cut to exact length and extended with a 1/16" rubber "tread"
5/8" BB brace, 2" in widh, approximately 26" in length (does not extend to edge of baffle) holds top and bottom of baffle together (use wood screws and glue)
"Skinny" gold piping inside 1/8 x 1/8" dado, cut 1 11/16" from edge of cabinet (to the center of the dado) and extending across panel and into front and back edges. Does not extend inside cabinet.
