Students dress as your favorite princess and parent/guardian join in singing princess songs including selections from Beauty & the Beast, Snow White, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. When registering tell us your favorite princess song or character.
There is a mandatory parent meeting the first day of rehearsal, meeting will last 30 minutes. New Dress Code: Students will be required to purchase concert dress attire, details will be given at the parent meeting.

Parent/guardian and child discover and explore rhythm, drumming, music, and dance. Participants will play drums and percussion instruments from around the world, sing songs, and learn repetitive grooves to musical patterns.
The Kettle Moraine Youth String Orchestra is a chamber orchestra for youth string players. The goal of this group is to provide an outlet for string players to grow to their ultimate potential. Students are introduced to a variety of music and musical styles. The expectation that all students push themselves is essential to reaching musical excellence as an ensemble.
Presto Strings is open to grades 5-8, currently enrolled in school orchestra or study with a private instructor, entering Suzuki
Book 2 or equivalent. Bravura Strings is for students entering Suzuki Book 3 or higher and is admitted by audition selection only, please see audition information for detailed requirements. KMYSOs smaller ensemble sizes allow for a personalized approach to teaching as well as opportunities for leadership and solo work that may not be available in larger ensembles. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at auditions, the first day of rehearsal, and on SchauerCenter.org/CSA. There is a mandatory new parent meeting the first day of rehearsal, meeting will last 30 min.

Work to create a 3-D floral arrangement with roses and lilies, while learning and using etching techniques in copper. Students will cut out the petals from copper sheeting and use pearl wire for flower centers. Final project will be placed into a small shadowbox frame ready to display. Supplies included.
Each class has a required dress code, specified in the School of Dance Handbook given at time of registration. The Schauer School of Dance sells all required dancewear directly to the students. Portrait draWing
Must have been enrolled in classes below in Fall 2011 or have permission to enroll.
Learn techniques that you will always remember with a few simple rules that take the guesswork out of portrait drawing. Students will work on technique through sketches and apply their new skills to create one finished portrait. Supplies included.
Students will gain rhythm, strength, balance, and coordination by learning tap technique and fundamentals.

Kids have a unique connection to clay. Starting early from mud pies to sand castles, kids explore shape, texture, and form molded from earth. This four week course will allow students to develop their connection to clay through exploration of various handbuilding techniques. Students will create, glaze, and finish pinch pots, coil pots, and slab pieces that are functional, sculptural, or both. No experience needed and supplies included.

Introduction to ballet and movement exploration. Students must be potty-trained with independent bathroom habits.
There are several schools of style and methods of ballet. Our classes integrate styles and technique from these different schools. Our ultimate goal is for each student to learn what their body is capable of and how to utilize his/her own strength.

6:00-6:45 pm (offered Session 1-3) No experience welcome! Join us to learn to the basics for partner dances such as Fox Trot, Waltz, Rumba, and Merengue. Beyond just steps and patterns, class focuses on good form and function. No partner needed.

Whether youre just beginning to make art or youve been at it for some time and need a jump start to get going again, this is the class for you. Further develop your creativity and enjoy the company of other self-motivated artists in this master teacher guided studio. Receive critique of your present work and learn how to implement stronger use of design and composition principles. Choose your subject and medium, and bring your own supplies. All 2D and 3D media welcomed. Class held at the Schauer Center.
acting uP
Learn the skills you need to be an actor. Voice, movement and character exercises will help to build focus and confidence as you perform a short scene for the final class. Its a fun way to learn to work with an ensemble cast. No experience needed.
audition tecHnique
This is a great tool for the serious young actor, everything from the basics of audition etiquette to monologue selection to the different types of auditions you may encounter. Students will memorize and perform a short monologue for the final class.
create-a-PlaY
Each session, through fun games and imagination exercises, students create their very own new and original characters. These characters will then be written into an original, world premiere play that the students will perform on the last day of class. The only requirement is an active imagination!
imProVisation
Learn the hilarious art of improvisation through fun games and outrageous scenes. Students will develop and strengthen their own self-confidence, communication skills, and social skills. No experience is needed, just a willingness to have fun.
Students are introduced to basic stage skills, while utilizing improvisational games.
This basket measures10 in diameter and 12 tall. This basket will be offered in spring colors in a randing design. To finish this basket off is a nice wrapped handle. This is an intermediate weaver basket.

Creative Arts Studios - Adults and children may wait in the designated waiting area. Children should not be left unattended in this space. Food and drink are allowed. Schauer Center - Due to numerous activities, event setup, and valuable artwork on display, the Schauer Center prohibits parents from waiting in the Gallery (second floor) after dropping children off for CSA class(es). If a parent chooses to stay on premises for the duration of a childs class, the Schauer Center requests that parents wait on the lower lobby level.

Create artistic accents for meals at home. From Brie bakers to olive dishes, to sushi plates and beyond. Using simple techniques, you will learn to hand-build your own unique serving accessories for your next dinner party, or simply to brighten up family dinners. Students should bring a sketchbook to each session, supplies included. No experience in ceramics is required.

SoundBites Lecture: 6:30-7:00pm Performance: 7:30pm A masterclass geared towards intermediate to advanced level guitarists, but is open to all experience levels and observers. The workshop will introduce right and left hand technique, exercises in listening, rhythm, and playing together as a group. The CGT will share their 20+ years of experience as professional touring musicians. Bring an acoustic guitar, guitar strap, and pick. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to tune your guitar before class begins. The CGT plays a unique style, with guitars interweaving an intricate knit work of interlocking parts to form unique originals and cleverly arranged interpretations of jazz, classical music, and even surf rock. These three revered musicians are Bert Lams from Belgium, Hideyo Moriya from Japan, and Paul Richards from Utah.

Discover Irish dance basics from members of the Trinity Irish Dancers. Learn Gaelic terms and proper dance technique set to Irish music. Irish dance helps increase muscle tone, flexibility, and balance. Family and friends are invited to observe the last 10 minutes of class for a presentation.
