HydroBasic Panels
Sizes: 1" (25.4 mm) Trunk Specifications
Watts HydroBasic Panels are modular system panels designed to provide a simple, pre-assembled solution for plumbing a basic radiant heating system. HydroBasic System panels include the air remover and expansion tank connections necessary for proper system function and performance. HydroBasic AddOn panels are identical to the System panels without the air remover assembly and may be combined with a System panel to create multi-zone systems.

Both HydroBasic System and HydroBasic AddOn panels come with an installed SunStat Pro Programmable thermostat on the enclosure. This provides a direct 120 VAC connection to power the HydroBasic panel and themostat with no need for a low-voltage transformer.

HydroBasic System Panel. Designed to be used with a dedicated water heater.

Connections to the water heater are: 1. Supply water connection from the water heater to the inlet side of the primary pipe. 2. Return water from the return manifold outlet to the cold water side of the water heater. Connecting additional zone(s) to the HydroBasic System panel is achieved by connecting the inlet side of the primary pipe on the HydroBasic AddOn panel to the outlet side of the System panel and relocating the plug to the outlet side of the HydroBasic AddOn panel. Note: F or detailed installation information, please see the HydroBasic Installation and Operations Manual.

Installation Parameters
Select an appropriate location for the HydroBasic Panel. The most desired location is typically near the heat source. Allow plenty of room for access to both panel and heat source. HydroBasic panels are mounted to the wall by two slots at the top of the panel and two holes at the bottom. For connection to a water heater; remove the included plug (shipped inside the inlet union connection on the primary piping) and relocate to the outlet end of the primary piping, forcing flow through the circulator.
