COURSE DESCRIPTION & GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

This course gives an insight to the students about the available sources of energy and their
utilization for power generation. It also provides details of power distribution and
generation economics. In depth knowledge of various power plants like Nuclear, Hydro
electric & Diesel enhance the students understanding about various requirements of plant
design. The students are asked to do the seminars on the Non renewable energy resources
like Solar, Tidal, Wind & Geo thermal.
