World Mission Sunday is celebrated this weekend - an opportunity for Catholics all over the world to join together to pray and have a care for the whole family of the Church. Up to 40% of the Church is still regarded as Missionary and needs our help to survive and grow to self-sufficiency. Even more challenging is the fact that more than half the world have never heard of Jesus and his Good News. We all share in the work of Missionaries and the young Churches as they share their faith and give life to others, often in difficult and dangerous circumstances. Our prayers and donations mean we share in the mission of Jesus by supporting those who put their lives at the service of Gods people. A retiring collection will be taken after Mass this weekend. Gift-Aid envelopes are available at the back of church. Pastoral Area Newsletter : The latest edition of the Pastoral Area Newsletter is available at the back of church, including news from the 4 cluster groups and the times of Masses across the Pastoral Area. Please take one with you for further reference. Heathcare Workers Mass :The annual Mass for Catholics in Healthcare will take place at 4pm next Sunday (30th October) at the Cathedral. Bishop Tom Williams, Chairman of the Bishops Conference Healthcare Reference Group is the main celebrant. Visit www.liverpoolcatholic.org.uk for further details. Pious List : November is the month of the Holy Souls. Envelopes are available from this weekend for you to place the names of deceased relatives and friends for whom Mass will be offered throughout November. The Pious List will remain on the altar during the month. Last weeks Collection ; Gift Aid : 343.74 Loose Plate : 206.33 Total : 550.07 Cafod : 238.54 Many Thanks. Question of the Week : Jesus said ; You shall love the Lord, your God with all your heart and soul and mind, and your neighbour as yourself. Why is it so hard sometimes to love your neighbour? What would change in your life if you loved your neighbour as yourself?

Please Note : The clocks go back an hour next Saturday night.
