F Ruslan Fedotenko was a valuable member of Pittsburghs 2009 Stanley Cup championship squad. F Erik Christensen was Pittsburghs third-round draft pick (69th overall) in 2002. He accumulated 66 points (33G-33A) in 143 games with the Penguins between 2005-08. TEAM NOTES: CROSBY NAMED NHL FIRST STAR OF THE WEEK Sidney Crosbys triumphant return to the NHL last week following a 61-game injury absence earned him the NHLs First Star award for the week ending Nov. 27. In four games, Crosby recorded nine points (2G-7A) and posted a league-best plus-7 rating. Included in that total was three multiple-point games with the first of those a four-point night (2G-2A) in his comeback game vs. NY Islanders Nov. 21. Crosby also finished with multiple-point games vs. Ottawa on Nov. 25 (3A) and at Montreal Nov. 26 (2A). Dating back to last season, Crosby has posted multiple-points in 19 of 32 games (59.3% of his games). He has 10 two-point games; 6 three-point games; and 3 four-point games. INCREDIBLE MALK Evgeni Malkin enters tonights game riding a season-high four-game point streak (3G-5A). Malkin has recorded two points during all four games of his streak. Pittsburghs second-leading scorer with 22 points (8G-14A) through 17 games, Malkins 1.29 point per game average is ties him for the league lead (minimum 10 games) with Torontos Phil Kessel. Malkin leads the Penguins this season in multiple-point games (8), power-play points (10, tied) and game-winning goals (3). STAAL STRIKES AGAIN Jordan Staal scored for the second-straight game at Montreal Nov. 26, giving him 12 goals on the season tied for sixth-most in the NHL. That goal gives Staal six goals in his last eight games and 11 goals over his previous 17 contests. During those 17 games, he has accumulated 14 points. Staal is on pace to establish career highs in goals (44) and points (65). TOP PERFORMER D Kris Letang continues to emerge as one of the NHLs leading candidates for the Norris Trophy as the leagues top defenseman. Not only did Letang show tremendous toughness by scoring the game-winning goal in overtime despite suffering a broken nose late in the third period, but he also led the team in time on ice (24:16), shots (6, tied), hits (5) and rating (+2, tied). Letang enters tonights game with 19 points (3G-16A), tied for second-most among NHL blueliners behind Ottawas Erik Karlsson (21 points). Letang has points in three of four games (1G-2A) since Sidney Crosby returned to the lineup Nov. 21. BRICK WALL Marc-Andre Fleury enters tonights game having lost just once in regulation over his previous 13 starts. During that stretch he has gone 10-1-2. Dating back to Nov. 12 of last season, Fleury owns a 48-17-7 record (.715 pct.) over his last 72 starts. Fleury is closing in on a couple of personal milestones. He sits three wins shy of recording his 200th win. When he reaches 200, he will become just the second goaltender in team history to hit that mark (Barrasso, 226). Fleury also has 21 career shutouts, leaving him one shy of tying Barrasso for most in franchise history. MOVING UP THE LIST Evgeni Malkin continued to climb up the franchises all-time leader board with his two-point night (1G-1A) against Montreal on Nov. 26. Malkin now has 440 career points (166G-274A), tying him with Paul Coffey for 10th place on the franchises all-time points list. Malkin now needs two points to tie Martin Straka (442 points) for ninth place. Malkin scored his 166th career goal against Montreal, moving him into sole possession of eighth place on the teams all-time goals list, breaking a tie with Straka. Pittsburgh Penguins: Head Coach and Player Bios

Head Coach: Dan Bylsma
Dan Bylsma (BYLE-zmuh) has established himself as one of the most successful coaches in Penguins history. In three-plus seasons behind the bench, Bylsma has put together a 128-62-23 overall regular-season record and won the Jack Adams Award in 2010-11 as the NHL's 'Most Outstanding Coach'. He became the third-winningest coach in franchise history when he picked up his 96th career victory on Jan. 25, 2010 vs. NY Islanders. On Feb. 10, 2010, Bylsma became the fifth-fastest head coach to 100 NHL wins (163 games) during a 2-1 defeat of Los Angeles. Bylsma's 26 career playoff wins are most in franchise history. During his first postseason behind the bench, Bylsma directed the Penguins to the franchise's third Stanley Cup in 2009. In the 2009 playoffs, Bylsmas team clinched all 4 series on the road and twice rallied from 2-0 series deficits (WSH in the second round; DET in the Stanley Cup Final). Dan played nine NHL seasons at right wing for LA and ANA.
