(This is a blueprint as to how I and my group members are planning to move forward with our idea of WASHING MACHINE

BUSINESS PLAN OF A NEW PRODUCT


NAME: WASHING MACHINE WASTEWATER FLUSH 1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: A) MISSIONTo reuse waste water of washing machine in the use of flush of toilets in economical way so that water conservation and employment generation increases in our nation and thereby generating profit in the long run.

B) BUSINESS MODELFor our product and services which we are planning to provide to end customers, for this we apply Cutting out the Middleman model. This model is also called as disintermediation. It is the removal of intermediaries in a supply chain: "cutting out the middleman". Instead of going through traditional distribution channels, which had some type of intermediate (such as a distributor, wholesaler, broker, or agent), companies may now initiated by consumers is often the result of high market transparency, in that buyers are aware of supply prices direct from the manufacturer. This model will help us in making our business positioned in the minds of customer with a feeling of transparency and societal benefit.

D) STRATEGYThe steps needed to make our new idea successful are as follows: a) We will firstly make pumps (product) suited for washing machine. b) We need to take franchise with 1 or 2 washing machine companies like whirlpool, LG. c) We will fit the product which will pump out the waste water. d) The pump has to be attached with the motor which purifies the wastewater.

e) This motor is then to be fitted or linked up with the public toilets, corporate toilets as flush.
f) So, finally our business is indulged into providing service of re-using wastewater of washing machine into flush.

Warehouse Preparation Planning Space layout The areas that should be planned are both the general storage areas and the areas for goods receipt, consignment picking and goods dispatch. It is also desirable that space should be set aside for the following activities: equipment maintenance and parking; charging of equipment batteries such as pallet trucks; refueling of trucks; an area for garbage disposal e.g. empty packaging; a quarantine area for keeping rejected goods, goods to be sent back or destroyed; an employee rest area; washroom; and An administration office.

Planning It is worth keeping these requirements in mind during the planning of the main operating areas. Planning consideration needs to be given to the following: allocate space for each type of product and locating number;

Allow sufficient space for easy access to the stacks for inspecting, loading and unloading. Stacks should be one meter from the walls and another meter between stacks; sizing the goods receipt and dispatch area; allow space for storage of cleaning materials and supplies; allocate areas for damaged items by consignment number; allow sufficient space to repackage damaged items and place it in separate stacks; Sufficient free space is needed to operate a warehouse effectively. When planning the size of a warehouse consider: o planning on having about 70-80% utilization of available space, whilst considering: o throughput rate o Handling characteristics of items, etc.

Special storage needs Some relief items require special attention in terms of the type and security of the storage area. For example: With combustible items, such as alcohol and ether, specific attention is required when storing and handling. Inventory management techniques need to be implemented to prevent wasteful surpluses and to ensure proper stock rotation to avoid costly losses due to expired goods. Procedures for controlling, preserving and releasing medical supplies and drugs should be established in consultation with the medical experts.

Such rights can be granted for areas related to literature, music, invention etc, which are used in the business practices. In general, the intellectual property law offers exclusionary rights to the creator or inventor against any misappropriation or use of work without his/her prior knowledge.

Intellectual Property Rights in India

It consists of The Patents(Amendment) Act, 1999 which was passed on 10th March, 1999 in the Indian Parliament for amending the Patents Act of 1970 which in turns facilitate to establish the mail box system for filing patents and accords with the exclusive marketing rights for the time period of 5 years. The Trade Marks Bill, 1999 was passed in the India parliament during the winter session for replacing the Trade and Merchandise Marks Act, 1958. It was passed on 23rd December, 1999. The Copyright (Amendment) Act, 1999 was passed by both upper house and lower house of the Indian parliament and was later on signed by the Indian president on 30th December, 1999. The sui generis legislation was approved by both houses of the Indian parliament on 23rd December, 1999 and was named as the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration & Protection) Bill, 1999. The Industrial Designs Bill, 1999 was passed in the Upper House of the Indian parliament for replacing the Designs Act, 1911. The Patents (Second Amendment) Bill, 1999 was introduced in the upper house of the parliament for further amending the Patents Act 1970 and making it compliance with the TRIPS.

As our business is mainly concerned in providing service of re-using waste water into flush, it is intangible. Hence, packaging doesnt come into play. In the initial stage, few contracts will help us to establish our image in the market. Providing few schemes or offers will attract households to adopt our service.

f) AD strategyAdvertisement has to be focused on the benefit of service and not on the feature of product.

g) Public RelationPublic Relations is the deliberate, planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain mutual understanding between on organization and its publics. Increasingly, companies are utilizing interactive social media outlets, such as Blogs and Social media (Twitter, Face book, Linked In, foursquare (social network), etc.) as tools in their public relations campaigns. Unlike the traditional tools which allowed for only one-way communication, social media outlets allow the organization to engage in two-way communication, and receive immediate feedback from their various stakeholders and public. Furthermore companies can join discussions with multiple user identities to create a positive image of the company (e.g. quantity of positive statements from different users). h) customer serviceThis is very important for our business. We need to constantly overview customer feedback, problems, and requests. Door to door service has to be given to demonstrate the functioning and usage of waste water flush.

Moreover, we are taking loan from STATE BANK OF INDIA at interest rate of 7.5% which is helping us to generate capital. My friends and relatives are also contributing towards capital. b) income projectionThis helps to analyze the amount of profit generated.
