For more than 40 years Icepronav has provided reliable hydrodynamic test and research services of world class standard. A member of the International Towing Tank Conference (ITTC) since 1996, Icepronav is now part of International Contract Engineering (ICE), one of Europe's largest independent naval architecture and engineering consultancies, headquartered in the Isle of Man.

Cavitation Tunnel

For propeller tests and the study of forces on rudders, fins and submerged bodies, ICE meets its clients needs with the Cavitation Tunnel. We have more than 400 documented stock propellers available.

Description of Facility: vertical plane, closed re-circulation, 4 interchangeable working sections. Type of Drive System: 4-bladed axial flow impeller with Ward Leonard control. Max. / Min. Abs. Pressures: 200 kpa; 6kpa. Motor Power and Rpm: 110 kW, 1500 rpm.
