MISCARRIAGE NEEDS LOVE AND SUPPORT Natural miscarriage is a tragedy that so many people misunderstand. They are not quite sure how to console a friend or relative who has suffered this loss. While there are no magic formulas, there is one fundamental truth that needs to stay front and center: a miscarriage is the loss of a child who is just as real and has just as much value as any other child of any age. A woman who has a miscarriage is a parent who lost a child, as is the father of the child as well. www.lifenews.com SOCIETY of ST. VINCENT de PAUL Every year St. Edward's St. Vincent de Paul Conference teams up with the parish's Christian Service Ministry to hand out toys to kids of underprivileged families in the community. Our SVdP Conference participates in the U.S. Marine/ Orange County Fire Departments' "Toys for Tots" program administered by the SVdP Orange County Council. Children from from St. Edward School add to this activity by donating more toys to the program. Approximately 200 kids of low income families are served by this annual program.
