Agree to disagree

There are times in our lives when we just receive 
confirmation that we are on the right track, that we are 
doing what is right.  Fortunately I was blessed to receive 
such confirmation in the form of a response to my latest 
political manifesto as my cousin likes to call them entitled 
… AND THE ENEMY ISN’T HERE? (Thanks to one and 
all who have read any of these)

I truly had it on my heart that my next ranting email 
was to be about our nations inability to disagree with one 
another any more, and how this is yet another device of the 
socialist as they have ever so purposefully executed what a 
certain DJ on Long Island likes to call the Wussification of 
America. With the clear and malicious intent of putting an 
end to all discussions and dialogs, which will in turn, lessen 
the resistance to their global socialist utopian revolution 
agendas for us.

My thinking is this; it has become (not by accident) 
politically incorrect to disagree. Should anyone have a 
difference in opinion then you on any topic, why then you 
should just simply stop talking to that person. Or see them 
as somehow inferior to your intellect and therefore insult 
them, which is your right as a compassionate liberal to do 
so.

      I was really going to leave it at that, but as has 
happened when examining those who see things differently 
then I, the onion has many, many layers. 
I received this response to my last email in which I 
contest that I said nothing but this: 1) Socialism is evil 2) 
There is no greater threat to our way of life then socialism. 
3) Socialism leads to totalitarianism 4) Obama is a socialist 
5) Oh by the way here is a list of people and associations 
that he has had, and still has. And 6) here is for you a list of 
documents he has refused to provide for us.  Now I defy 
anyone to read what I wrote and find any thing else but that. 

To that end I receive this response, which I leave 
below for your perusement.  Received Sunday morning 
10/19/8

     It's official you are a right­wing tool (and yes I am 
replying to all because I would actually like to here back 
from anyone out there who agrees with your bullshit). Your 
hatred of Barack Obama proves what I new all along, you 
are not a true Christian.  Instead you are a typicial right­
wing hate monger, who claims to believe in the teachings of 
Jesus Christ, while preaching the rhetoric of those who he 
spoke out against while he was alive. Yes, those who preach 
hatred for another and exclusion of those who don't look 
like themselves.  So I am about to do some praying of my 
own.  I pray that the people of this great country 
overwhelmingly elect Barack Obama and that the 25 
percent of you out there that still believe Bush is doing a 
good job become the minorities of the 21st Century, while 
the rest of us live out the ideals and preachings of the real 
Jesus Christ. The ideals and preachings that were born out 
of living in a tim e where the Roman Empire was using 
cheap labor and large armies to conquer its neighbors, steal 
their resources and enslave their people, while allowing 
their own working class and the poor to die on the 
vine.  History always repeats itself because humans are 
humans.  The question is will the rest of this country 
answer its true call, overcome the fears that your type try to 
instill in us and rise to the occassion or will our empire go 
the way of all those that came before it.  I pray for all of our 
souls (yes even you 25%) that the former is the case.

First off I would like to thank you sir for not only 
reading what I wrote, but also responding to it.  Any and all 
discussion is a good thing; it is of the up most importance 
that we keep up the dialog.
 Many of you may just see this letter as no big deal, just 
someone I have managed to tick off and that I get a kick out 
of it. All is true, however there is so much danger lurking in 
this letter.  Lets take a look shall we…

Insults aside, look inside; look at the words, words he 
chose, remember now, words mean things:

 “Your hatred of Barack Obama”. 

“you are not a true Christian.”

“typicial right­wing hate monger”

“preach hatred for another”

“exclusion of those who don't look like themselves.”

“still believe… become the minorities of the 21st 
Century”

“Roman Empire”

“the fears that your type try to instill”

“our empire” 
  Now I fully understand that these words have been 
pulled out so the author will naturally defend himself and 
say that these remarks were taken out of context, which is 
why I provided the context above it for your reading 
pleasure.
 
These words written by a person I still consider a 
friend prove my point.  

IF YOU DISAGREE WITH BARACK OBAMA 
YOU WILL BE SILENCED. Because if you dare 
disagree, then you are either: a hate monger, a fear monger, 
a racist, an imperialist, a nationalist, or some how not 
Christian.  

Now I am more then willing to give this author and 
everyone the benefit of the doubt with the exception of 
Obama and those mentioned in the last essay tugging at his 
strings that we all care about and want to help those who 
need it. 

 I firmly believe that those who disagree with me truly 
have others’ interests in mind and are of goodwill and good 
intent.  Answer me this though, why then do “MY TYPE” 
and I not receive the very same benefit of the doubt? Why 
Sir, do you ASSUME MY TYPE and I do not care for 
those in need?  Why Sir, do you ASSUME that MY TYPE 
and I have only the interests of those you have decided to 
vilify in mind?   

I’ll tell you why, because for far too long MY 
TYPE, and I have not stood up for ourselves and have 
allowed you sir to simply exercise your prejudice against us 
by pre­judging myself and MY TYPE time and time again. 
You ASSUME that just because we don’t’ see it as you do 
that we must lack in compassion, and caring, and simply do 
not give a hoot for anyone but ourselves.  Well sir, it stops 
here and it stops now. I will no longer simply roll over and 
accept your perverted version of our intentions and 
conclusions.  You will show “ MY TYPE” and me the same 
respect we show you, if not enjoy your hatred of me 
because I have no place for it in my heart and denounce it 
here and now and urge you to join me in doing the same. 

Rather then saying to yourself, maybe this guy and 
“HIS TYPE” truly believe that what they are doing is best, 
you chose of your own free will to make me out to be the 
villain, just as you have of capitalism and just as your leader 
has of our nation itself.
  Sir this too stops here and this stops now.  We care for 
everyone same as you, we just have different, and better 
solutions on how to help then you.  It is not a lack of 
compassion on either of our parts that is missing, it is that 
we believe that it is up to us where as you believe that it is 
up to the government.   I encourage the rest of MY TYPE 
to stand up to this prejudice and no longer allow it to simply 
be said and brushed under the rug as though they have a 
monopoly of caring for others.  I encourage all of you to 
stand with me, and know that I will stand with you…

Truth is there has been no greater exploiter of the 
underclass then the liberal/socialist.  They purposefully 
perpetuate not only an underclass but are bent on securing 
that we live in a caste system society where they mite have 
an unlimited amount of proletariat to chose from to fight 
the evils of capitalism.  It is their promises of government­
imposed charities, and their indoctrination of distain for 
capitalism, individualism, and America itself that 
continuously refuels their industrial socialistic complex.  

Do you not deny, that you sir, see America as that evil 
Roman Empire described in your response to me? Cause Sir 
certainly I do not, I see America as the light of the world, 
bright as ever, a light of hope, good will, and charity 
willing to sacrifice on the highest for not only our freedoms 
but the freedoms of strangers.  And I make no apologies, 
and offer no regrets, I simply unconditionally love her.

  It is you sir and those who agree with you that have 
for generations kept the African Americans down with 
affirmative action and welfare.  It you sir; that are using 
them and any other members of the underclass to achieve 
and maintain your seats on the thrown, you need your 
underclass to promote your agendas therefore you would 
never ever to anything to jeopardize loosing any of them, 
from grasps of the government. A liberal/socialist without 
an underclass is powerless.

MY TYPE sees blessings and hope when there is 
opportunity provided and guaranteed by our government to 
improve through hard work and determination from where 
one was born into. You chose to preach that people are 
stuck as victims of an unjust society determined to keep 
them down.  You sir whether it be unknowingly or 
purposefully are just echoing the ideals and beliefs as is 
being indoctrinated into the minds of the inner city youths 
of Chicago by none other then Mr. Ayers. You agree to 
this? Your sure now? You stand with Bill Ayers?

  We know why it is that our philosophies are of such a 
great threat to you, and cause such anger in you. If we give 
a hand up and free those who truly need it from the 
government then you loose your control. 

It is the same reason Christianity is the enemy of 
socialism worldwide.  Christianity offers freedom through 
choice and free will from this world and it bondage.  It is 
our ideals of individualism, excellence and independence 
that contradict your ideals of socialism, well roundedness, 
and reliance all of which by the way go against human 
design (not evolution) itself.  We have all been made 
specifically, individually for a purpose, all unique. 
Socialism itself goes against that very law of how we were 
created.
 
Why would MY TYPE wish to keep anyone down? 
Where is the benefit in that?  If others who don’t look like 
me stay down and remain in the under class then they are 
earning less for society and costing me more, why in the 
world would anyone think that this is what we want for 
anyone?  Strictly from economic point of view it does not 
any make sense.  So to play the greed card is futile.

Just because I feel that we are responsible for 
ourselves does not mean that I wish others to do poorly, or 
suffer in anyway. You and those who agree have taken this 
liberty with us for the final time.

Now just because I see Obama and others like him for 
who they are, I am called a hate monger.  Here in lies the 
danger.

 First, you are no longer aloud to say anything, about 
anyone. No matter, if what you are saying is the truth, you 
are a hate monger. Well how convenient for you then it must 
be to deflect any fact about Obama and throw it back at me. 
So it is me who is hateful, not the terrorists, murderers, 
criminals, racists, socialists, Islamic fundamentalists, wife 
he pals around with, it’s me Scotty Bonner that is the 
enemy… Riiiiggghhhht…   

Second, when a person is said to be mongering hate it 
will sooner rather then later, purposefully evolve into a hate 
crime. I will be arrested and charged with a hate crime for 
even uttering, for example that Obama has spent his life 
associating with the likes of: terrorists, criminals, 
murderers, socialists, racists, radical Islamic 
fundamentalists, and his wife.

 If asking a man to explain his history and connections 
that lead to his ideals and philosophies that will 
undoubtedly affect my son’s life as hate, is to in fact change 
the definition of hate itself to fit your very needs.  And 
make no mistake his needs, his intentions are clear, to silent 
the opposition to silence me, and MY TYPE.  By calling 
what I do hate is no different then telling a preacher that if 
he says that homosexuality is a sin then he will be arrested 
and charged with a hate crime.

What? No way!!! What is this, the Soviet Union? 
Don’t we have freedom of speech? Think I’m kidding?

Ted Kennedy almost succeeded in putting in a hate 
crime amendment into a defense­spending bill, which 
stated that if anyone whether it be at the pulpit or anywhere 
else was caught saying that homosexuality was a sin that 
they were to be arrested and charged with a hate crime. 
This time Senator McCain caught wind of it and stopped it, 
but what do you think will happen when they have control 
of both houses and the Presidency.  This “hate crime” 
legislation will slip into another bill and be signed into law. 

Then when someone else they don’t agree with comes 
along and says something else they don’t agree with (like 
asking Mr. Obama to provide a birth certificate) they will 
call it hate mongering just as you have sir and, they will 
have not only precedence but a “moral obligation” to 
silence little ‘ole me.

So think before you accuse someone of mongering 
hate.  Just because I don’t wish to be thrown into a pit of 
lions does not mean I hate lions; it just means that I don’t 
wish to be torn limb from limb.  There is a big difference 
between asking questions of a public official's past and 
hate, and if you continue to blur the two you are in effect 
removing any opposition from expressing their feelings 
about the candidate in question. 

 You disagree? You’re a racist. You disagree? You’re a 
hate monger.  You disagree? You’re a fear monger. You 
disagree? You are not a true Christian.  Who is the 
resistance now?

What you are in fact saying Sir is that I and everyone 
else should just disregard the FACT that Obama has spent 
his life surrounded by these people.  And, that by 
demanding answers from a person that I am interviewing 
for the most important job in the world is hate mongering, 
fear mongering, racist, imperialistic, nationalistic, and again 
some how not Christian?  You are sir telling me to keep 
quiet are you not? Just want to make sure I understand what 
you are saying that you believe in.  If I misinterpreted your 
words in any way please here is your chance, correct me.

What should you have me do, not ask these questions? 
Turn a blind eye and deaf ear to this? Not demand at least 
his college thesis? Is it not only my civic duty but also 
responsibility as a parent to ask questions of a man who 
wishes to be my son’s Commander­In­Chief? Are you 
serious?  

How could you possibly not ask these questions of a 
man you wish to see rule our nation yourself?  It is your 
hatred of Bush, me, and MY TYPE that has blinded you so 
much so that when someone like me comes along and 
exposes light to the situation you have no other response 
but to belittle and franticly attempt to put the light out, for 
fear of what it will expose.  

Does not everyone find it awfully peculiar that there 
was not one single attempt to dismiss or explain why our 
author here chooses to support this man knowing his 
history? Instead he chose to write about me. Me?

 You project this anger towards me because you know 
darn well that these things that I am asking everyone to 
consider are true and you don’t want to have to deal with 
the fact that you are of your own free will supporting a man 
of such character. So rather then face yourself you use me 
as a punching your bag because, you are the one supporting 
the guy who said, this "As I've said about the flag pin, I 
don't want to be perceived as taking sides, There are a lot of 
people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol 
of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war­like 
message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It 
should be swapped for something less parochial and less 
bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To 
Sing.' If that were our anthem, then I might salute it. "We 
should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as 
to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and 
love.” He then went on to say, “ My wife disrespects the 
Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have 
attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many 
years ago. She has her views and I have mine". From a 
Sunday's Televised episode on Sept. 7th 2008 of “Meet the 
Press”.  This is the hoarse your backing, not me pal…

I would fight till my very last breath for your right to 
disagree with me, and therein lie our fundamental 
difference. I don’t fear what you may say about my ideals, 
my beliefs, or me because I am standing on a rock.  Where 
as for you, judging by your response you not only fear me, 
but seem to dislike me, simply because I disagree with you. 
That is your choice you deal with it, but I have nothing 
against you.

  I love when I receive a letter from anyone who 
disagrees with me.  We need to not be afraid to disagree 
there is nothing wrong with different opinions and 
viewpoints. I am in no way advocating for one voice, what I 
am advocating for is dialog and discussion, before we wake 
up one day in a Soviet Socialized State. 

 Quelling an argument by accusations of hate are done 
for one reason and one reason only: You do not want to hear 
anyone else’s voice but your own, and any dissenting 
opinion must be shot down before it is ever heard, for it 
may actually contain the truth, the truth that he has and still 
associates with, terrorists, criminals, murders, racists, 
socialists, Islamic fundamentalists, and his wife, and who 
wants to face that?

 Freedom of speech and all of our freedoms are under 
attack when a man like myself cannot question the back 
ground of another man asking to be my President without 
being accused of hate mongering.  

I hope you can all see just a little glimpse into our 
future with this letter I received from this gentleman. The 
enemy is here I tell you!!! BEWARE OF THE STATE…

Don’t you see what you sir, have done by accusing me 
of “hate”? You have done their bidding.  You are giving 
them a reason to silence me.  Perhaps you think that would 
not be such a bad idea?  Na I doubt it, although we disagree 
I don’t think you wish to silence me, but whether you like it 
or not that is exactly what you are contributing to.  And that 
is where the danger lies. 

 I say to you from the bottom of my heart thank you, 
for as your type always does, you have proven my point.

I ask you here and now do you wish to silence me? If 
not you should immediately retract your statement that I in 
any way shape or form mongered any hate of any kind 
towards Barack Obama.  And you should immediately state 
that I did nothing more then say: socialism is evil, there is 
no greater threat to our way of life then socialism, Obama is 
a socialist, and he needs to answer for these connections, 
and provide the documentation we deserve to see.  

If you fail to do so then you are willingly contributing 
to the death of our freedom of speech and our society… It’s 
not personal, just business…
