Welcome, JoAnne!
We were grateful to hear the news that JoAnne Hartline is now a member of the Lebanon Road family. Sister Hartline is the mother of Rachel LeSeur, and has placed her membership with us. If you have not already, please make sure you make her feel welcome over the coming days and weeks. We are thankful she is now part of our church family! We will have a picture and contact information for JoAnne on the New Members board in the foyer as soon as possible. Please make sure you are up-to-date with your contact info. We place cards on that board that you can take with you to update your directory, or anywhere else you keep phone numbers and mailing addresses. We hope you will make good use of these cards, so we can all stay in contact with our Christian family. Today marks the last Sunday for our special four-week classes. It has been a joy to teach in these classes, and personally, I have gained a tremendous amount from the discussions in each class. If you have any comments, recommendations, or suggestions concerning these classes, please take a few moments to speak with one of the teachers

or one of our elders. I do not know if we will have classes like these on any regular basis in the future, but any feedback we might get would surely help in making such decisions. Thank you for your encouragement following last Sunday mornings lesson on the holiness of God. It was a shot in the arm to me to study that glorious topic, and I pray it filled you with even more awe for the Lord we seek to serve. One thing I had in my notes, but failed to mention was that, of all the attributes of God, only His holiness is expressed in triple (Holy, holy, holy). While God is love, you never read love, love, love, and while God is just, you never see just, just, just in Scripture. This is significant, because, to the Hebrew mind, to express something three times was to speak of it in a superlative way. So, by giving this three-fold statement of Gods holiness, the Bible is making it clear that God is supremely and superlatively holy. As Hannah prayed, There is none holy like the Lord (1 Samuel 2:2).

provide our daily needs. God knows all about our material needs food, drink, clothing, and shelter (Matt. 6:31-32). He is willing to supply them according to His riches in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19); however, there should be in our life a spiritual emphasis that is superior to our quest for material interests. Another priority is, First judge yourself before you attempt to correct your brother. Jesus urged us to cast the beam out of our own eye before we criticize another persons shortcomings (Matt. 7:3, 5). How blind we often are to our own faults, and how quickly we observe the faults and failings of others! The Searcher of hearts urged us to be careful of our attitude toward others. It is much more profitable to mend and restore than to criticize and tear down.

Hello everyone, Ice skating, Second Harvest Food Bank, Progressive Dinner, Evangelism University, and Challenge Youth Conference. We have many exciting activities planned for our youth group over the next couple months. If they have not already done so, I would encourage our students to sign for ice skating on December 20. Also, please sign up for our work day at the Second Harvest Food Bank where we will sort food items to distribute to families in need. Adults and youth are encouraged to join these events. January brings a new year and another Evangelism University. EU offers a priceless opportunity for your childs spiritual development and it is very fun. I strongly encourage all of our students to sign up for EU. Parents, please encourage your kids to participate in Evangelism University. Challenge Youth Conference is in February and really needs little explanation. We love this event. This is a great spiritual weekend for the entire family! All of these events can be signed up for on the board by the youth room. Please go check it out today! Thank you very much! JD :)
Thank You
Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your love and support during our time of need. After Knoxs death we were truly amazed by the tremendous amount love and care we received from our church family. We feel blessed to be a part of this congregation. Love, The Cofers Dear Friends, I want to thank each one of you who sent cards and made calls during the last few months while I was recovering from knee surgery. I especially want to thank you for your prayers. Love to All, Hilda Thomas
