Navjot FFC have been in Reefer Business for the past 18 Years. Initially they had 65

Reefer Trucks and now down to 23 Reefer Trucks .The size of the Reefer is 22 x 7.4 x 7.4 . 13 of the 23 Trucks have Carrier Fitted Cooling System and rest10 have Hawasung Cooling System. The fuel (Diesel) consumption by the trucks cooling unit is
2.5 Litre / Hr.The major route of Navjot frozen foods is MUMBAI DEL and the major commodity is Meat .Now , reasons for reduction in number of Reefer trucks with Navjot is the Political problems created while transporting meat from Gujarat and hence the trucks were held by the various political groups which lead to losses to Transporters . Similar political problems were faced by other Meat transporters and hence they had to reduce their fleets. The commodities transported by Navjot Frozen Foods are Green Peas for Amul , Pharma Products for Ranbaxy , Meat , Amul Dairy Products and some commodities for McDonalds. They maintain the temperature as per the commodity requirement from 30 to 10 Degree Celsius . They possess GPS Technology in there 23 Truck fleet . This helps them track the temperature and the location of the Truck on the Map. The GPS technology is provided by Geotrackers GPS sensors at a cost of Approx INR 10500 . All the transporting services provided by Navjot are insured . They have tie ups with United Insurance and Reliance Insurance. As per the future prospects provided by Navjot , the Meat Transportation by Road is not an easy business due to the political problems faced by the road transporters as discussed above . Apart from that , according to Navjot , Meat Transportation through Rail via Gujarat has not seen any problems and hence is sustainable. The Chairman of Navjot Frozen Food Carriers also projected the Reefer Truck industry in Delhi . As per his estimations , there are Approximately 750 Reefer Trucks in NCR and the largest Reefer Carrier is DBRC with 160 Reefer Trucks . Most of the carriers have around 20 30 reefers fleet and consist of major chunk of the reefer truck industry in NCR. The Road transportation has seen an entry by Foreign players in recent times for ex. Transgulf Freezer , Kausar India Ltd and Kuenne Nagel .
