RESEARCH DESIGN INTRODUCTION Two observations have to be made at the outset oI any statement on higher education in India: First, education, in general, and higher education, in particular, plays a key role in the realization oI India`s extraordinary potential and aspirations Ior economic and technological development. Secondly, precisely because oI this potential and its implications Ior individual advancement, there is an extraordinary demand Ior higher education among India`s young. So education is important Ior all human beings, the higher education is most needed Ior the Iuture peoples. In this study the investigator identiIying strategies oI enhance the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Need for study Today`s education has undergone tremendous change in all aspects and at all levels. There has been no attempt to study the IdentiIying strategies oI enhance the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Signification of the study The present study investigate the identiIying the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. People seek higher education to improve their Iuture wants. Higher education helps the people to earn the higher income and Iuture ideas to improve the business. The Iindings oI investigation will be useIul in giving suggestions and strategies to the government regarding to make the higher education to the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Scope of the study The study is restricted to the XII std students oI sivakasi taluk higher secondary schools. The study is restricted to 300 students. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM Title ~Identifying strategies of enhance the Higher education enrolment rate among the wards of parents working in Fire work factory. Definitions of key expression Higher education enrolment rate:The extent oI higher education is generally measured by enrolment ratio in higher education. Operational definition of key expression In this study the expression 'Higher education enrolment rate means is the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Assumptions of the study May be enrolment rate at higher education among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory is low. It is possible to identiIying strategies oI enhance the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Hypotheses of the study There are gender diIIerences in opinion about the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Majority oI the students have a positive disposition about the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Students oI parents with diIIerent educational status such as not educated and school have diIIerent opinions towards the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Perception is not inIluence in monthly income oI the parents with regard to the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Research Questions 1) oes a student need the higher education? 2) o we need oI higher education? 3) What are the beneIits oI higher education? 4) Will it increase job prospects? 5) What are the strategies improving higher education? Objectives of the study To identiIy higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. To Iind out the strategies oI higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY Method of the study In order to realise the expected objectives the survey method is employed in this present investigation. Area of the study Population oI the present study is XII std students oI parents working in Iire work Iactory in sivakasi taluk. Sample for the study In the present investigation, a representative sample oI 300 students Irom sivakasi taluk is selected through random sampling stratiIied. Variables of the study The present study has included the Iollowing demographic variable Ior the analyses. 1. Subject 2. Gender 3. Parent Educational Status 4. Monthly Income oI the Parents
TOOLS OF THE STUDY The research tool used Ior the present study was a perception scale. It was developed by the investigator. Construction of the tool The investigator reIerred to books, journals and magazines and consulted experts, teacher educators and experienced teachers Ior constructing the tool. Description of the tool The perception scale consists oI 30 items (not conIirm) where the subjects have to Agree`, or disagree`, there is also an option to cannot say`. Both positive and negative statements are given Students opinions regarding higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Administration of the Tool The perception scale is to be given to each student in person to gather data. Scoring Key Every item had three options to select Irom agree, disagree, cannot say. A response oI agree to a positive statement and disagree to a negative statement will be given a score oI one. All disagree` responses to positive and agree` responses to negative items will be given a score oI Zero. Cannot say` responses will not have any score.
Validation of the tool Validity: The perception scale prepared by the investigator has content validity. With the help oI the suggestion given by Iour ProIessors items were revised. The Iinal version oI the Perception Scale consisted oI 30 precise items (not conIirm) which covered varied perceptions with regard to the higher education enrolment rate among the wards oI parents working in Iire work Iactory. Reliability: The reliability oI the tool was arrived at by test retest` method. The validated tool was subjected to reliability, in which 20 XII std students selected randomly Irom Iive higher secondary schools in sivakasi taluk were asked to respond to the items. AIter some days it was administered to the same group oI XII std students and scores analysed. Data Collection Procedure The research investigator got permission Irom the school Head masters to collect data Irom the XI std Students. Statistical Techniques adopted The data collected were subjected to descriptive and inIerential analysis was carried out.
