Peace Corps is looking for a Community Resources Coordinator to work in the Pre-Service Training program for new Volunteers arriving in Peru. The current search is for late March to early December 2012. The job includes identification of host families and community resources before the arrival of the new Volunteers, coordinating orientation and monitoring of home stays during pre-service training as well as community integration activities. The training is based in Chaclacayo, which is a 40-minute drive outside of Lima. This is a full-time position (44 hours per week) during this time period. Resume and cover letter should be in by December 20, 2011. Basic Functions: The Community Resources Coordinator identifies and coordinates with host families who will have a trainee living with them, contacts and coordinates with community leaders, agencies, and other resources to help facilitate cultural interchange, safety and security needs and other community-based activities planned for Peace Corps Perus pre-service training program. This person also does orientation, follow up and evaluation of the families, along with the pertinent record keeping. Qualifications: Degree or significant studies in Social Work or equivalent experience in Social Management Experience with non-formal adult education and competency-based training English speaker (level II), fluent in Spanish Experience in Community Development in rural and small town settings Peace Corps experience preferred
