OBSERVAO: A configurao Wi-Fi Protected um recurso que facilita a configurao da rede sem fio e as opes de segurana. Para obter mais informaes, consulte Sem fio > Configuraes sem fio bsicas no captulo Configuraes Avanadas. Wireless (verde) O LED Wireless se acende quando o recurso sem fio est habilitado. Ele pisca quando o Modem Roteador est enviando ou recebendo dados ativamente pela rede. DSL (Verde) O LED DSL se acende sempre que ocorre uma conexo DSL bem-sucedida. O LED pisca enquanto o Modem Roteador estiver estabelecendo a conexo DSL. Internet (Verde) O LED Internet se acende e permanece assim quando uma conexo estabelecida pela porta Internet. Ele pisca para indicar atividade de rede na porta Internet.

Ethernet 1-4 (verde) Esses LEDs numerados, que correspondem s portas numeradas no painel traseiro do Modem Roteador, tm duas finalidades. DSL A porta DSL se conecta linha ADSL. Ethernet 1, 2, 3, 4 As portas Ethernet (4, 3, 2, 1) se conectam ao Modem Roteador com computadores com fio e outros dispositivos de rede Ethernet. NOTA: a porta Ethernet 1 tambm pode ser configurada como uma porta WAN. Para fazer isso, acesse o utilitrio baseado na Web (consulte o Captulo 3: Configurao avanada na pgina 4, e depois selecione a guia Setup (Configurao) > Ethernet. Reset H duas formas de redefinir os padres de fbrica do Modem Roteador. 4. Habilitar a criptografia
A criptografia protege os dados transmitidos por uma rede sem fio. A WPA/WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access) e a WEP (Wired Equivalency Privacy) oferecem diferentes nveis de segurana para a comunicao sem fio. Uma rede criptografada com WPA2/WPA mais segura que uma rede criptografada com WEP, pois a WPA2/WPA usa a criptografia de chave dinmica. Para proteger as informaes durante sua transmisso, voc deve habilitar o mais alto nvel de criptografia suportado por seu equipamento de rede. A WEP um padro de criptografia mais antigo, e talvez seja a nica opo disponvel em alguns dispositivos mais antigos que no oferecem suporte WPA.

Logon
Caso voc no consiga efetuar logon, mantenha pressionado o boto Reinicializar no painel traseiro por, no mnimo, 5 segundos. Aguarde at que o dispositivo reinicialize e tente novamente.

OBSERVAO SOBRE A OPO TREND MICRO (no disponvel em todos os modelos): o Trend Micro ProtectLink Gateway um servio de segurana hospedado que impede spams e filtra URLs a fim de evitar que contedos indesejados passem pelo roteador. O Email Protection a soluo de segurana de mensagens hospedada, fornecida pelo Trend Micro InterScan Messaging Hosted Security (IMHS). Esse recurso pode estar ativado ou desativado nesta tela.

Resoluo de problemas
Voc precisa modificar as configuraes bsicas do Gateway. Execute o Assistente para configurao disponvel no CDROM de configurao. Voc precisa modificar as configuraes avanadas do Gateway. Abra o navegador da Web (por exemplo, o Internet Explorer ou o Firefox) e insira o endereo IP do Gateway no campo de endereo (o endereo IP padro 192.168.1.1). Quando for solicitado, preencha os campos Nome de usurio e Senha (o nome de usurio e a senha padro so admin). Clique na guia apropriada para alterar as configuraes
Verifique os LEDs no painel frontal do Gateway. Certifique-se de que o LEDs Power, DSL e pelo menos um dos LEDs numerados estejam acesos. Se no estiverem, verifique as conexes dos cabos. O computador deve estar conectado a uma das portas numeradas de 1 a 4 do Gateway, e a porta Line do Gateway deve estar conectada linha ADSL.
Quando voc clica duas vezes no navegador da Web, so solicitados um nome de usurio e uma senha. Se no desejar que o prompt seja exibido novamente, siga estas instrues. Inicie o navegador da Web e execute as seguintes etapas (estas etapas so especficas para o Internet Explorer, mas so semelhantes para os outros navegadores): 1. 2. 3. 4. Voc est usando um endereo IP esttico e no consegue se conectar. Consulte a Ajuda do Windows e altere as Propriedades de protocolo TCP/IP para Obter um endereo IP automaticamente. O computador no consegue acessar a rede pela conexo sem fio. Certifique-se de que o nome da rede sem fio ou o SSID seja igual no computador e no Gateway. Se voc tiver habilitado a segurana sem fio, certifique-se de que o mtodo e a chave de segurana sejam iguais no computador e no Gateway.
