The objective was to provide GPS like functionality for closed building scenarios. Further, the algorithm was tested and improved and the effect of various parameters seen on the algorithms output. Feature generator for machine learning University of Houston Mentor-Dr. Rakesh Verma Summer Intern, May to July 2010 Had to create a user friendly application that could generate training and test data from journal named PUBMED which were then used to classify the abstracts appearing in that journal as either relevant to chemical terrorism or not. Intrusion Detection System(Currently under progress) IIT Patna Mentor- Dr. Ashok Singh Sairam B.Tech Project Work, Fall 2011 First, the most important features are selected from KDD CUP data using Principal Components Analysis. Then, data corresponding to these features was fed to SVM so that a model could be created. Then test data would be tested. Currently, test data is being tested for accuracy of the IDS. TIRS(Transport Information Retrieval System) IIT Patna Mentor- Dr. Somnath Tripathy Mini Project, Fall 2010 Created an application which could help a user plan a trip to a particular location using any means of transport. Implemented a DBMS using PL/SQL which served as back end for the app.

Autonomous V2V Communication IIT Patna Mentor- Dr. Rajiv Misra Mini Project,Fall2009 Created a GUI based simulation software which would model a road scenario in which every car would communicate with all nearby cars and then adapt their behavior on road to reduce the risk of accident. This proposed method would largely automate the task of driving and reduce the number of accidents by taking elementary controls from the driver.
