The African shock absorber.

Main function

Andreas Strauss 07/10/02

To capture and harness most dissipated energy air. While the shock absorber performs its normal functions. This air is compressed and directed from this source to one of a few holding tanks/vehicle 12,000 c.c. RV 1000-kpa depending on shock size, and is used to perform accentual energy saving functions in the vehicle. The multi unit energy saving shock absorber. Cool dry air@100-kpa 10Celsius is channeled from the air-conditioning unit or atmosphere air when this air is 10 or lower coming via an air-filter and dryer to the chamber intake valve. (Air cooled) The African shock absorber performs the normal shock absorbing functions, with plenty other advantages. The shock absorber starts at one unit/shock, two chambers, with a shock resistance of 300-kpa/chamber. The chamber outlet valve is sized in three pressure outlet sizes for greater shock absorber variety. This increases the choices to 15 different shock absorbers sizes Upon ignition, for example if the smallest shock in the range has a pressure of below 300-kpa, it will equalize first with the startup tank. These minimum pressure criteria will get greater with shock absorber size The shock is designed in a circular pattern resistance press @ 300-kpa/chamber (five different sizes) One (unit) =two chambers. Two (units) =four chambers 1200.00-kpa/shock. Three (units) = 1800-kpa. Five (units) = 3000-kpa. Seven (units) =4200-kpa (14 chambers300-kpa/chamber@4200-kpa/shock) shock absorber Chamber One unit consists of top and bottom cylindrical shape chambers. Equally sized 75 c.c. One chamber = 25mm diameterx2mmx120mm Stainless steel pipe. And the top and bottom chambers are serviced by a double headed common piston. Cool, dry, dens air from 10and lower air @100-kpa enters through the n/r inlet valve at the centre of the chamber. Compressed air@300-kpa/chamber is controlled and leaves the top and bottom outlet valves. Because each shock unit are made up of two piston chambers, the chamber end covers (1.5mm) are tack welded to the (top 4mm for body fastener), and middle (2mm)shock absorber stainless steel mother plates. And the bottom chamber end covers tack welded to the bottom mother plate (4mm wheel assembly fastener) and middle mother plates. Thus the piston performs a smooth even unison action. And is fastened along the piston chamber length with 3.5mm stainless steel counter sunk bolts. 1piston unit=3bolts, 2 unit=3bolts, 3 unit=5bolts, 5 piston unit=5bolts, 7 piston unit=14 chambers=7 bolts. Description Double headed piston Piston shaft is a 10mmx225mm solid stainless steel shaft threaded on both sides to take two piston disks 2 mm each. Two circular stainless steel disks on top of one another 23.5 mm x 2mm 1mm smaller than chamber size on either end fastened with a lock nut. Each disk is beveled at the outer edge for 5mm cantered at 45 When the disks are laid on top of one another the outer edge forms a 90 channel to hold a carbon rope seal. The piston & shaft oscillates freely unattached between unit chambers, through a white metal bush and an inserted air pressure carbon seal at the entrance of each chamber. For a quick piston rsistance the outlet valves are situated 15mm from the chamber top &bottom end plates. Disks are dent punched to line up chamber equalizer vent holes. (Optional) Two spring expandable dust jackets on top of each other for chamber leaks, lubricate the out side piston shaft. Multi unit Shock absorber stats and energy saving advantages Shock absorber is sized in units designed in a circle with controlled output pressure. All units are the same universal size, fits all shocks, the parts are cheap, and maintenance is simple. The African Shock could be installed at home in a well equipped workshop on any vehicle. Three outlet pressure valve sizes secure a 15 different shock absorber size variety. A two chamber One unit shock output= 800-kpa. Seven unit shock absorber output=5600-kpa depends on valve size. Alternator power is driven by an air turbine Power to drive air con, hydraulic jacks, charge batteries, run electric system, emergency winching. Power to assist any vehicle and saves 50% fuel depending on road surface. (Simple modification ) Air to drive impact wrench so that ladies can change spare wheels, and apply emergency tire pressure.
