Trust
For Jesus, Trust is the most important disposition we should have toward Him. If we do not Trust Him, how can we come to Him?

Deeds of Mercy
DEEDS of MERCY ARE ANoTHER ESSENTIAl poINT of THE MESSAGE of DIVINE MERCY.
Jesus demands from us works of mercy through our deeds, words and prayers: Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful (Lk 6:36). Jesus made three demands of Saint Maria Faustina, and, consequently, of us: 1) deeds of mercy must arise from our love for Him; 2) we must show mercy to our neighbors always and everywhere; and 3) we cannot excuse ourselves from this, since faith without deeds is futile (see James 2:14 and Diary 742) In this same passage, Jesus message to Saint Maria Faustina continued: I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbor: the first by deed; the second by word; the third by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. (Diary 742)

We understand why Jesus asked Saint Maria Faustina to paint His image as He appeared to her and to include the signature Jesu Ufam Tobie! (Jesus, I trust in You!) at His feet. Without trusting in Him, there is little we can achieve. But with Trust in the Love and Mercy of Our Lord and Savior, all is possible.

Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska

Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska, apostle of Divine Mercy, was born on August 25, 1905 in Glogowiec, Poland. She was baptized with the name Helena. From a very tender age she stood out because of her love of prayer, work, obedience, and also her sensitivity to the poor.

SAINT MARIA fAUSTINA KowAlSKA (1905-1938)

She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy on August 1, 1925, and took the name Sr. Maria Faustina of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The process of contemplating and getting to know the mystery of Gods mercy helped develop within Saint Faustina the attitude of child-like trust in God as well as mercy toward her neighbors.

The Lord Jesus chose Saint Faustina as the Apostle and Secretary of His Mercy, so she could tell the world about His great message, which Saint Faustina recorded in a diary she titled Divine Mercy in My Soul. In an extraordinary way, Saint Faustinas work sheds light on the mystery of The Divine Mercy. Saint Maria Faustina died in Krakow at the age of 33 on October 5, 1938, with a reputation for spiritual maturity and a mystical union with God. She was canonized by Pope John Paul II (as the first saint of the millennium) on April 30, 2000. St. Maria Faustinas remains rest at the Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Krakow-Lagiewniki, Poland.

The Apostolate of the Divine Mercy

The Apostolate of the Divine Mercy was founded at the end of the decade of the 1990s when a group of lay people and members of the clergy from the Archdiocese of Miami committed themselves to spreading the message of the Divine Mercy, as the Lord had asked St. Maria Faustina in Poland to do so in the 1930s. The Apostolate was recognized, approved and blessed by the Archbishop of Miami, who appointed Deacon Rafael de los Reyes as Spiritual Director of the Apostolate on August 27, 2001. We are a not-for-profit entity incorporated and organized in the state of Florida, USA. Our activities and financial administration are under the direction of a Board of Directors, which is chaired by the Spiritual Director. The Apostolate of the Divine Mercy, Inc. is a tax-exempt corporation under the guidelines of section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Service Code that allows for tax-deductible donations from persons who contribute to the Apostolate.

The Vision for THE DIVINE MERCY SANCTUARY pRojECT in South Florida
The construction of The Divine Mercy Sanctuary complex will be completed in three phases. In phase one, The Sanctuary will be constructed on land which has already been purchased with donations located at 4100 SW 85 Avenue, Miami, Florida, allowing our community to strengthen its devotion for The Divine Mercy and to perform deeds of mercy. Phase two will focus on enhancing and expanding the Sanctuary facilities. And in the final phase, we will build a Convent on the grounds of the Sanctuary. Then, with the consent of His Excellency Thomas G. Wenski, Archbishop of Miami, we will invite the Sisters of Saint Faustinas congregation (The Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy) to house the Convent.
