Heavy Duty Electric Cylinder with Food Grade White Paint Option MPAI Short stroke (3" travel) actuator MPAR-P actuator series
Other Improvements:
1. 2.
Moment entries moved to life Estimate Page for Electric Cylinders Support of latest Product Selection Guide (2011) for Electric Cylinders (MPAR, TLAR, MPAR-P, MPAI and MPAI-W) only
2. Professional Revised Work Flow a. New Work Flow steps i. Load Type ii. Motion Profile Design iii. Mechanism Selection iv. Transmission Selection v. Motor Family Selection vi. Drive Family Selection vii. Search Solution b. Progress Icon Bar i. An Icon bar at the bottom of the screen indicates the work flow progress for the axis being entered.
c. Super Review tab i. Super Review tab displays all motion calculated results in a tabular form for every Profile segment at each point in the mechanical system.
3. Profile Editor Enhancements a. Ability to switch axes while Profile Editor is open
b. Ability to Copy and Paste move profiles between Axes within the Profile Editor
c. The value of Time (Master) at the cursor position of the Profile Editor Graph is displayed in a new Time label. This label can be used to view the Time (Master) value in MU (or any other time unit).
d. The maximum and minimum velocity constraints of an Index segment can be specified for an Index move. Motion Analyzer will adjust the index segment to restrict the maximum and minimum velocities to within the applied limits. If the user entered limits cannot be supported an error message will be displayed in Profile Editor.
4. Profile Editor Additional Segment Types a. Index 2 3 Poly (Parabolic) i. This move type is not supported in RSLogix 5000 natively. Motion Analyzer Profile Editor is used to build the cam, and then it can be exported to the RSLogix 5000 Cam editor in a MATC or MAPC instruction.
b. Index Adjusted Sine (Cycloidal) i. This move type is not supported in RSLogix 5000 natively. Motion Analyzer Profile Editor is used to build the cam, and then it can be exported to the RSLogix 5000 Cam editor in a MATC or MAPC
instruction. c. Index 4 5 6 7 Polynomial ( 7th order Polynomial) i. This move type is not supported in RSLogix 5000 natively. Motion Analyzer Profile Editor is used to build the cam, and then it can be exported to the RSLogix 5000 Cam editor in a MATC or MAPC instruction.
d. Index Modified Trapezoidal i. This move type is not supported in RSLogix 5000 natively. Motion Analyzer Profile Editor is used to build the cam, and then it can be exported to the RSLogix 5000 Cam editor in a MATC or MAPC instruction.
5. Motor Selection Assistant a. Select from a family of motors that can supply the speed and torque required for your application when using the Professional work flow.
a. Select from a family of Drives that are compatible with the Motor Family selected when using the Professional workflow.
7. Axis and System Notes a. Ability to add Axis Notes to each axis in the Motion Analyzer System file. This is in addition to the System Notes that are available.
a. Common Operating Conditions b. Individual operating conditions for L10 Life Calculations and Power Supply Energy Estimate calculations have been moved to a common location.
9. License Control
a. Registration has been implemented for the Full version of Motion Analyzer 5.xxx. If you do not wish to register you will be able to use Motion Analyzer 5.xxx in a Lite version, which has limited functionality. b. Registration can be accomplished via Online registration or Offline (email) registration.
10. My Preferred Database a. Mark Standard Database name has been changed to My Preferred Database. Use this to predefine motors and drives that are searched through for a solution.

11. SolidWorks Interface Enhancements a. SolidWorks Model must be open in SolidWorks when launching Simulation tools from Motion Analyzer. b. SolidWorks Motion Study must be set up when launching Simulation tools gravity, SolidWorks motors, velocity and force/torque results plots, and any additional external forces must be defined. c. For single axis or independent axis of motion, enter data into Motion Analyzer axis, selecting From SolidWorks as your load type. In the axis, you may reverse your motion profiles in order to drive velocity in the correct direction on the model, and again if necessary to make the returned data align with the original defined motion profile.
12
d. For interdependent axis of motion, you must define profile data and launch the SolidWorks Simulation tool from the System View page. You may reverse your motion profile in order to drive velocity in the correct direction on the model.

Known Limitations
1. PowerFlex drives are not supported by Tuning Simulation or in the Bill of Materials. 2. For application sizing, selection of IAM in Power Supply/Accessories View will be updated in Bill of Materials only after user visits the "Configure Axis BOM" tab of the first axis. 3. Kinetix 300 and Kinetix 3 Tuning Simulation are not supported. 4. Encompass partner products including Wittenstein/Alpha, Stober, Apex, and Shimpo gearboxes and Elwood/Getty Explosion Rated motors are not supported in the Bill of Materials. 5. Consecutive Logix Linear elements are not allowed to be imported into the Logix Elements in Motion Analyzer Profile Editor. 6. CM222 motors are only available as 460 VAC. 7. When analyzing interdependent axis of motion using the SolidWorks Simulation tool from the System View page, you may not reverse the returned data in order to make it align with the original data as you can within an axis. 8. Stacked Stages (MPMA series) is not supported in Professional Mode. 9. On launching the product details catalog on a Windows 7 64 bit machine, the product catalog is opened to the first page as opposed to the page containing the details of the selected product. 10. When a custom motor is defined in Professional sizing mode, select the user defined motor series (My Series) independently. Selecting My Series and another motor family will create issues with voltage selection on the subsequent Drive selection page. 11. Motion Analyzer 5.200 does not correctly analyze the power supply for RPS shunt modules. Evaluation will produce an incorrect zero result.
