TANKEROperator
Tanker Operator is the worlds leading and most widely read title about international tanker operations, covering both technical / operational and commercial issues, for crude oil, products, chemical and gas tankers. Edited by Ian Cochran, probably the worlds most experienced maritime journalist with over 40 years experience, Tanker Operator tells the continuing story of the twists and turns of the tanker industry, such as growth in Turkey and Singapore, new emissions legislation, approaches to piracy, tackling the crew shortage, biofuel cargoes, a changing approach to demonstrating performance, and ever changing relationships with the regulators. Companies which have placed advertising space in Tanker Operator include shipping companies, shipmanagers, equipment suppliers, service suppliers, flag registries, software companies and insurance companies. Unlike many other trade magazines, we only send out printed copies to people who specifically request the magazine, by filling in a form on our website; we also only send magazines to people who have requested it within the past 3 years (and most of them much more recently than that), who are part of the tanker industry. We think this is very important in maximising the value to our advertisers, because it ensures that our list is continually being refreshed and up to date - and we are sending the magazine to people who actually want it and understand English - and our magazine is treated as an invited guest when it arrives on people's desks, not junkmail. To get a feel for the seniority and purchasing power of our readers, and how we are constantly refreshing and renewing our mailing list, see this list of 'new subscribers this week' which we publish in our e-mail newsletter. These are people who have filled in the form on our website to explicity request to receive the magazine, unprompted by us. The magazine's circulation is now 4,000 copies - including 2,000 print copies, and 2,000 copies sent electronically to additional people. Apart from 200 copies sent as samples to advertisers, the entire circulation is requested. Our circulation is independently verified by the Audit Bureau of Circulation (ABC).

ONLINE OPTIONS
As well as advertising in our magazine, we can offer advertising on our website, newsletter and online social network. In the newsletter, we can offer a large banner advert (350 x 150) which appears right at the top, beneath our logo but before the news, which links directly to your website. We can also offer small banner adverts (180 x 60) at the side. On our website, we can offer a large banner advert (468 x 60) across the top of our home page and small banner adverts (180x60) at the side. The same advert will also appear whenever anyone reads a full news story, and on many other pages of the site. E-mail and website banner adverts often work best when you give people strong reasons, in the banner, to click for example, you might have an interesting new game, tool, or other content on your website which they might be interested in.
