CRDF Globals GIST Team is pleased to inform you that your idea has been selected for Phase II of GISTech-I Competition! As the competition semifinalists, you (the team lead) or a designated team member, receive an opportunity to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Istanbul, Turkey, hosted by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoan on December 3-5, 2011 (expenses covered). During this event, you will present your ideas to a large audience of peers, experts and other funders and receive coaching from successful entrepreneurs on Business Models, Stephanie Marrus, Entrepreneurship educator Nuts and Bolts of the executive summary and the pitch Joe Hadzima, Senior Lecturer, MIT Entrepreneurship Center Raising funds for your ideas and ventures. Robert Ackerman Managing Director and founder Allegis Capital How to build your networking support system and maximize event participation. Ovidiu Bujorean, Innovation Program Manager, GIST Initiative. Role-play pitching and feedback. Mentorship session overview. Steven Koltai, Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Builder One on One Mentorship

Participation in the Summit will give you a great exposure, practical knowledge and a chance to network with leaders in the entrepreneurial field and your peers from all over the world..

The purpose of this letter is to describe several important steps required to start your travel procedure. Given a short timeframe, this process will require your prompt response and close cooperation between you (the semifinalist) and CRDF Global (both our headquarters and our office in Jordan). Please provide us with the following documentation by Thursday, November 24, 2011:
Scanned copy of your passport (this is very important to start your travel arrangements & Short biography Picture for booklet Resume or CV

provide you with invitation letter)

Please send the requested information to lalkurdi@crdf.org and carbon copy gist@crdf.org. Failure to send all requested documents by the deadline may jeopardize your participation in the Summit. Should you have any questions regarding these instructions please direct them to lalkurdi@crdf.org orgist@crdf.org.

Applying for your Turkish visa: Please visit the Turkish embassy site in your country or http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-forforeigners.en.mfa to determine your visa requirements. If you require a visa, please schedule an interview with the Turkish embassy/local consulate as soon as possible. We will be sending you an invitation letter shortly.

Signing a Travel Agreement with CRDF Global: Upon the receipt of all required documents, CRDF Global will issue a Travel Agreement for your review & signature. Travel Agreements are signed between CRDF Global and the individual semifinalist and contain general travel information and any requirements for payments and reporting. CRDF Global must receive your signed agreement before any payments are made on your behalf

Travel Arrangements

Upon the Travel Agreement issuance, CRDF Global will make the necessary travel arrangements: purchase of airfare tickets (arrival in Turkey on December 2nd and departure on December 6th), hotel reservation, and payment of event registration fees. At the end of trip to Turkey, you will receive a stipend of $300 for transportation and other incidental expenses you might have incurred during your stay.

will work with mentors on this presentation.

The final event agenda will become available in the next couple of weeks and we will promptly share it with you.
